Very strong set up to the season finale

Relevés very much feels like the first half of a two-part episode as everything falls into place perfectly for its cliffhanger ending. It makes me want to know what happens next and have to restrain myself from finding out immediately.

I cannot give much detail without spoiling. However, it's safe to say that the writers make excellent use of the foundations laid by previous plot details throughout the season and bring the characters to a riveting place under the most tense of circumstances. Arguably it's predictable, but I do not think it makes it any less gripping.

Characters like Abigail, Lecter, Graham, and Jack Crawford are used particularly well in the main events, plus there is a lot of interest peaked in the character of Dr DuMaurier.

Visually it is incredibly effective as always and the cast are terrific.

    Pieces falling into place?

This episode felt like a slow intense build-up towards the truth as well as the consequences of the things we have seen so far!

Now we really got to see who Hannibal is, and he has been up to! This saw what consequences will's unstable mind has had for him, as he finally gets some clearity in terms of evidence and motives on the Cheasapeeke Ripper! This is where Hannibals manipulation... starts to pay off, even if we are still left to see the ultimate consequence!

I am also starting to enjoy Gillian Andersons character! Her role is small, but she has a certain presence that makes the scenes with her, intrigueing!

Now for the finale.. too see if Will is able to connect the dots!

When The Pressures Grow Too Great, I Assure You, I Will Find A Way To Relieve Them.

Okay so in this episode, we begin with a visit by Graham to see Georgia, in her chamber that is supposed to be helping her!

+1 Star For the Opening Hook and that event!!!

Graham continues to have these dreams. Scary dreams. But is really starting to visualize this STAG more and more in his dreams. And I think , really starting to wonder why. Why the STAG???

Graham links murders that previously had no connection to the Hobb's copycat killer. Establishing that the 'copycat' is still out there.

Crawford meets with Lecter again to discuss Graham's well-being.

Crawford meets with Dr. Du Maurier. He actually starts to express an interest in finding out more about Lecter.

Maurier then informs Lecter about Crawfords inquiry!!!

Graham meets with Lecter again and informs Lecter he is thinking more clearly about the 'copycat' killer.

Crawford goes to Lecter's looking for Graham, and Lecter and Crawford discuss Graham's possible 'mental breakdown'.

+1 Star for the story development here.

+1 Star for the Reveal that comes to Abigail ...at the end!

    This episode gets an 8/10

    • Trivia
Relevés is French and, in a culinary context, is an adjective meaning "spiced" or "highly seasoned" (it is used in the plural form here, implying that there are several such dishes).
    • Goofs
The accident in the hyperbaric chamber, and a minor character's subsequent description of a similar accident in another country, are based on the idea that a high-oxygen atmosphere will burn all by itself if ignited by a spark. In reality, the fire danger of a high-oxygen environment is only that flammable materials (paper, cloth, etc.) will burn much more easily and energetically than in a normal atmosphere, and even then only if such materials are directly ignited, not if a spark just occurs somewhere nearby.
    • Quotes

Abigail Hobbs: Will always said whoever called the house that morning was the serial killer... Why did you really call?

Dr. Hannibal Lecter: I wanted to warn your father that Will Graham was coming for him.

      Abigail Hobbs: Why?

Dr. Hannibal Lecter: I was curious what would happen... I was curious what would happen when I killed Marissa... I was curious what you would do.

Abigail Hobbs: You wanted me to kill Nick Boyle.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter: I was hoping... I wanted to see how much like your father you were.

      Abigail Hobbs: Oh, my God.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter: Nicholas Boyle is more important for you gutting him... He changed you, Abigail... That's more important than the life he clamored after.

Abigail Hobbs: How many people have you killed?

Dr. Hannibal Lecter: Many more than your father.

Abigail Hobbs: Are you going to kill me?

Dr. Hannibal Lecter: I'm so sorry, Abigail... I'm sorry I couldn't protect you in this life.
