    Fire in the Hole!

There are two strains here. A big time (very expensive) divorce lawyer is found, burned to a crisp in an empty oil barrel. It is business as usual at the Jeffersonian as they do what they can to solve the case. That aside, the real focus is on the relationship that has developed since Brennan and Booth have come back together after he hiatus. She has gained a different persona because of her experiences when she was on the run. She is more intractable now than ever. Booth can't let things go or see what has happened. So their happy home starts to crumble a bit. It is here where they realize that things aren't perfect and that's when they need to really be honest. Well done.

    • Trivia
Episode guest star Sophina Brown played an FBI agent herself on Numb3rs (2005). Interestingly, the first episode she appeared in (2x11, "Scorched (2005)") also guest starred Loren Dean who plays Bones's brother Russ.
    • Goofs
When Finn comes in to collect evidence from Hodgins, he accidentally says, "Did you identify the accelerant that was used to porch that toor fella?" Obviously he was supposed to say, "torch that poor fella", but it came out wrong.
    • Quotes

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: [after seeing an improbable rendering of cause of death] Congratulations, Mr. Abernathy, you have successfully reconstructed the death of Wile E. Coyote.

Angela Montenegro: Wow, honey. That was a very impressive pop culture reference.

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: Christine and I may have watched a few cartoons while I was away.

Finn Abernathy: I have to say, mam, I sure missed working with you.

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: I imagine you have.
