Animal Farm

They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but when you see that the publisher is only putting out trashy books, you should be worried.

Animal Farm is a landmark book about a people rising up against their oppressors, an idea completely contrary to the ideals of the production company Angel. They're going to release an adaptation (probably) very far removed from the book's reality. And it's clear from the trailer that this will be the case. It's a shame that for many people, their first encounter with the book will be a distorted view of it.

Given this is supposed to be an allegory about the rise of Fascism, and American is currently living the novel, this is a gross misreading of the political landscape. Its like Andy Serkis heard about the novel through a series of games of telephone and then decided the results would be a great idea. I hope this ends the careers of everyone involved.
