How the turn tables

Fun to see Morgana use Merlins oldest trick against him. Decent storyline and acting. Same plot remix is getting stale.

Powerful and epic storytelling

Series Five has been outstanding so far, better than Merlin was at its beginning and that was not bad. We have had epic storytelling, effects battles and magic. I knew something was up from the beginning and was wondering how long it would take for Merlin to work out what was happening; his perceptions soon show him the truth behind Morgana's deception, leading to dramatic confrontation. Morgana has learned dangerous new powers, as Merlin says to Gaius. She can now cast an aging spell to disguise herself, although she has not yet worked out that Merlin can do the same thing. Fortunately they are closely matched in power and a dramatic rescue and climax occur. I can't wait to see how this all ends.

James Fox (King Rodor) is the uncle of the actress Emilia Fox, who played Morgause in previous episodes.
