No need to say that I had, of course, never even heard about this 2018 action comedy titled "Fury of the Fist and the Golden Fleece" as I stumbled upon it here in 2025. And with it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to check it out.
I have to say, though, that the movie's title, cover and IMDb rating certainly didn't instill any hopes of this being a particularly grand movie.
Writers Sean Stone and Alexander Wraith put together a script that was downright terrible. It was supposed to be funny, I know, but it was just so unfathomably cringeworthy. They simply tried too hard and failed miserably in the process.
The movie actually has a rather impressive cast ensemble, with the likes of Don Wilson, Danny Trejo, Jason London, Sean Whalen, Tom Lister Jr., Cynthia Rothrock, Jeremy London, Michael Winslow, Michael Dudikoff, Richard Grieco, Ernie Reyes Jr. And Jack O'Halloran. It was actually quite amazing that such people opted to show up in a movie such as this. Regardless, the acting performances in the movie were fair.
The blood spray effects in the movie were insanely poor, and got really, really annoying rather quick.
My rating of director Alexander Wraith's 2018 movie "Fury of the Fist and the Golden Fleece" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
