Shows the viewer some very disturbing and sad crimes, whilst treating the victims with respect and celebrating their life. There is good case building and reconstructions which come to a logical conclusion in identifying/verifying the perp (when there is one! / one can be identified).
Kelly and her team work very well together and all genuinely care for the victims whilst striving to put the chosen cold cases to bed. A special shout out to Johnny Bonds who is a real character!
Long may this show continue!

It is different in that you see the process of how they go about trying to solve cold cases. Most of the evidence is already known at the beginning of the show...because it is a cold case. I like when they go out to the crime scene and do their recreations. I guess I am intrigued by their thought processes. Of course, being from Harris County, where Kelly was a prosecutor, I know about her and Johnny Bonds. Kelly was a quick fire prosecutor and quite successful, so I like watching her in action. I do also like that they will at the beginning give an update on previous cases covered. If you're tired of the usual crime show, I think you will like this one. I hope TNT keeps the show.
Love the camaraderie between Kelly and Yolanda. These are the ladies I'd want solving a cold case for me!
+ Kelly Siegler & Yolanda McClary are exemplary women without any pretentious over dramatization as they take on their roles as hosts and investigators. They work well as hosts compared to many other crime programs. The fact that they are not always able to catch the perpetrator and being honest about it, plus showing the impact on the families, is a refreshingly real take on American crime shows. The systematic take on how evidence is gathered and reviewed, interviews are taken and suspects eliminated is very interesting for anyone that loves these types of crime series. Everything is very methodical and clearly put into view. - When handling real cases, showing real victims and suspects we as an audience will never know what is steered by editing and if that is morally acceptable to put on as a show which is in itself firstly for entertainment value.
I enjoy this show best of all the many crime shows I watch. It's difficult to understand why they have had a couple of very poor reviews, but as I read those reviews I can see that the reviewers seemed upset by the strength and confidence of our female investigators. Maybe they have some problems with strong women - who knows? I know that I watch each show from start to finish with interest and enjoyment. It's great to see that not only the lady investigators but the local police and DA's who are so interested in pursuing justice for the victims and family members. I'm glad they don't drag us through every detail of their investigations but go over the highlights in a rational and illuminating manner.
