Match Game

The show does have problems but I don't think it is as bad as your "the sky is falling" interpretation of this show basically making it sound like it is the worst show ever made in the entire history of human civilization!

First off I don't think the host is bad at all. You can't blame the host for having bad contestants and for the six guests not having funny answers a lot of the times, all he can do is work with what they give him and if they don't give him much he obviously doesn't have anything funny to work with.

The contestants do always seem to be very uninteresting and also seem like they are bored or don't really want to be there I will give you that one a hundred percent.

Also like I already said yes the six guests do go to below the waist and toilet answers a lot of the time and have some really bad jokes but we have to give them some lee way there because unless you have been there we don't know how much time they get to answer, if it is live like it is on the show it seems like they only have 5-15 seconds to come up with and also write down a answer so it must be harder to do then we might think just watching.

The prizes are not great but what do you expect this is Canada and any game show here the prize will always be less than it is on a U.S. show, how does that take away from how entertaining the show is for us to watch anyway?

I give it 4. I would like to see better contestants brought in and also new guests, I don't know why they all seem to change except one male/female couple who are in always. Keep the host and give him a chance though I like how his style is more sedate and real life than other hosts.

Match Game sucks. I watch the original game show (it is currently airing on cable and is called Match Game 73) and it is very dated but it's still an amusing show. The premise for a game show is very good where you have professional comedians as a panel trying to "help" the contestants by giving answers to the same questions and if the answers match they get points. The original show has the comedians giving funny answers but never dirty, and usually they give a real answer and just say funny things about it. This new show just has comedians who give the worst answers trying to be funny and failing. So why should the contestants even bother playing when the comedians just keep giving stupid answers which are also usually filthy? Gave his dog a what? A penis. She keeps a what in her cupboard? A penis. I could give better answers than that and also funnier answers than that and I am an accountant, probably the least funny kind of person in the world. Please stop making horrible shows like this. Whoever at your network thinks that anything sexual is automatically funny needs to be fired. Have you guys ever made one single good show? Every person on the panel is not funny and the host is also not funny. Seriously is this the best we can do?

I'm very disappointed in this show and the comedy just came up lame in it.

First off, the host seems like his is very stiff and inexperienced. He just doesn't seem like he is able to create and carry on a natural sounding conversation with the competitors and the judges. His lines seem forced and even at some times mean, but without being funny or like a joke.

I agree with the other review that the judges are incredibly unprofessional and are simply not giving answers that are funny. What's worst is when they go out of their way to make up an answer they think is funny but then it's not funny and on top of that the answer is so crazy that the guesser has no chance to match up their answers and get points.

To put it simply it's like the judges don't understand how the game is supposed to work at all and they are only concerned with trying to give a funny answer and act wacky on television for themselves rather than help the competitors try to win the game and prizes. Which is just stupid and frustrating because they don't even succeed in being funny.

This is a pointless show and a huge waste of a tried and true game show that has been around for a very long time. It hasn't changed at all and I'm just disappointed every time I make the mistake of tuning in to try it again.

This show is not worth watching in fact it is only worth flushing down the toilet. None of the comedians and actors on the show is ever funny. One girl always draws pictures, usually of a penis or something. The fat girl just shrieks and yells and screams. Every time they spin the wheel I grit my teeth because the fat guy always starts singing about how the wheel is spinning which I guess is supposed to be funny. They had John Hodgman the other day and even he was not funny but you can't blame him. The host seems to be going through the motions counting the seconds until he gets to cash his check. I swear at least half the time all their answers are penis or poo or something else related to that. Our tax dollars are paying for this garbage? Get some funny people who can keep the host and guests awake or cancel this piece of crap by flushing it and replace it with Match Game 73 which is currently airing on the game show network and is still much funnier than this show. I'm not kidding about that to be funny I seriously mean run Match Game 73 instead. Or why not rerun Kids in the Hall? That show was hilarious. What the hell is wrong with this channel that you can only make crap like that? Match Game sucks huge clackers.

I am surprised by how overboard negative a lot of your reviews are fellow IMDb.com people.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that Match Game is a good show, it is not a good show.

But it is not a one out of ten or the worst game show ever or "garbage" or whatever else you are calling it. It is a growing concern to me that people always jump to one out of ten if they dislike something and calling it the worst movie ever, or calling something ten out of ten and he best movie ever if they like it at all. There are all those other numbers in the middle!

I give Match Game a four and I think it is slightly less than the average shows it is up against.

I say it is not very good for many of the same reasons you do. The contestants seem both bored and boring. The host is not very funny or personable but at the same time I sometimes find it refreshing that he is different from the other TV show hosts out there. The panelists and in particular Shawn Cullen and Debra D. are really awful and not very creative or funny at coming up with good fill in the blank answers.

Let's remember there are more ratings than just one or ten okay? It makes things more fun and much more fair.
