Trivia
Several of the scenes were filmed on the USS Iowa (BB-61) which is a now a museum in LA. In several shots the 5" gun mounts of the Iowa are in the scene.

Goofs
Several scenes showed the flight deck and hanger of the carrier. On these decks were the F-14 Tomcat aircraft. The F-14 was retired from active service in 2006.
