Dilip Ghosh's 'Commando' is Kick-Ass! Lead Star Vidyut Jamwal is one hell of an action-hero & he executes each & every stunt effortlessly. He single handedly makes this film work!
'Commando' Synopsis: A condemned Commando protects an innocent girl from a feared politician.
'Commando' is the same old story of the Good versus the Bad. Its been witnessed on the screen umpteen times, but what makes 'Commando' worth watching, is the Raw & Brutal Action it offers. The Action is amongst the best I've seen in a long, long time. The Screenplay clearly highlights Action. Dilip Ghosh's Direction is atmospheric, while the Cinematography captures the wildness accurately.
Performance-Wise: Jamwal steals 'Commando'. He's highly efficient in the Action-Scenes! Pooja Chopra looks sweet & delivers a very confident performance. Jaideep Ahlawat plays the twisted antagonist, most convincingly. Darshan Jariwala is adequate.
On the whole, 'Commando' shouldn't be missed by the Fanboys of Action-Orinted Cinema.

Commando One Man Army Title Tells Everything about Movie. Vidyut Jamwal is only reason to watch movie. His Stunts are unbelievable. I guaranty you that you have never seen such FAADU stunts Ever. Movie have very poor story screenplay and direction. Pooja Chopra is failed to make mark in this movie. She not suites in Simrit's Character. As Vidyut Jamwal performance in FORCE we all have very much expectations from him in COMMANDO and he not disappoint us. He really takes action to another level. His dialogues are also quite good. Vidyut Jamwal is best action hero in India as per my views. He performed all his stunts by himself without using cable except one where he jump in the valley. Movie may made better if the story was strong and directed with some better director. If that happen i am sure movie will become best action film ever made in bollywood. If you want to watch some stunning stunt's and you are fan of action movies then this is treat for you.

Even though the movie is riddled with flaws, when you get a hero with such a macho on-screen persona, a manly base voice, and real fighting abilities, along with a decent plot-line, all is forgiven. Intense, fluid, and more importantly believable fight scenes, daring, edge-of- the-seat stunts, hard-hitting and memorable one-liners, Pooja Chopra's refreshing effervescence, Jaideep Ahlawat's convincing malice laced with mean humor (unlike Prakash Raj's umpteen failed endeavors to successfully portray these two traits in cringe-worthy villainous avatars), a convincing narrative arc, and above all, Vidyut Jamwal's awe-inspiring rendition of a tough-as-nails action hero make this movie a complete blast.
Most non-action movie fans might not be able to overlook some gaping loopholes. But for us action junkies, this is one awesome testosterone driven, adrenaline pumping ride from start to finish. If only this film had done away with some of its narrative blunders, it could have been an instant action classic. Nevertheless, its still a thrilling ride that no action fan should miss.
Indian Cinema has finally got its next big action hero after Dharmendra, Amitabh Bacchhan, and Akshay Kumar.

After a very long time, I got to see a very good Hindi Action film. It had just everything .....A kick ass action hero, an over the top villain, a heroine who spouts gr8 one liners, excellent location and some very well shot and executed action sequences. The only thing lacking was a entertaining item number. But I overlook the later.
The movie starts off well and there is rarely a moment where it becomes boring (except when the songs come in). The last 5 mins I felt is a little let down. However, this film is far better than the crappy South Indian action film remakes that are churned out over the last few years.
Jamwal is an actor to look out for. After a long time, Bollywood gets a fine action hero. Along with him, Alhawat is another terrific actor. He makes his AK 74 an entertaining villain who mercilessly kills people but before killing them tell them a joke so they can laugh while dying. Hope both of them get more roles and scripts that show their skills.
This movie is for pure action buffs....so others stay out !!

- TriviaAt the start, a disclaimer reads that Vidyut Jammwal performed all his stunts without cables or body doubles.
- GoofsWhen Vidhyut & Pooja jump off the bridge, the villain group are seen shooting directly where they fell. But in the next scene from top, they seem to be shooting in the air directly in front of them.
- Alternate versionsGerman version was heavily cut (ca. 23 minutes) to remove all dance sequences. Additionally some violence was trimmed.
