Without ever having heard about this 2025 movie titled "Angie's Cure", I opted to watch it, as I stumbled upon it by random chance. And without knowing what I was in for, aside from whatever little information the synopsis provided, I suppose director Corey Grant had every opportunity to impress and entertain me.
Writers Corey Grant, Brian Kelsey and Lanett Tachel put together an okay enough script and storyline. It was a bit generic for this particular type of movie, but still proved to be enjoyable enough for what it was.
I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, except for Vanessa Williams, which was a good thing, as I enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. The acting performances in the movie were good.
The music in the movie was pretty bad. But then again I never did enjoy hip hop, rap and such music.
Playing at 114 minutes, the movie could have benefitted tremendously from a round-handed trim in the editing room.
Watchable for what it was, but hardly an outstanding movie. Nor is it a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.
My rating of director Corey Grant's 2025 movie "Angie's Cure" lands on a four out of ten stars.
