MH370: The Plane That Disappeared (2023)

Review by arungeorge13

MH370: The Plane That Disappeared

6/10

Nearly a decade later, the search for the truth is still ON! [+60%]

9 years on, the mystery surrounding the fate of flight MH370 continues to irk the whole world. The 3-episode piece (spread over nearly 3 hours) tries to encapsulate what probably went down on that devastating night, delving into different kinds of theories while also closely following the official narrative. The first episode is largely factual and offers insights most of us already know. When journalists and experts in the aviation field take up the limelight, it feels like we're spending too much time on hearsays and assumptions and not really heading towards a vivid conclusion due to the lack of credible, concrete data. The third episode even covers the efforts of a modern-day Indian Jones in the supposed recovery of the plane debris, before circling back to the perspectives that matter the most here, i.e. The relatives of the passengers. Their stories prove to be the emotional crux, and it will always be shattering to acknowledge that 239 people lost their lives but we may never get to know how (or why).
