All I'm going to say is: if you like dark comedy, anime, and a stellar voice cast (that's subjective I understand) then just give this one a try and see for yourself what you think! I was entertained throughout the entirety of this short run anime and so was my boyfriend... But why they gotta go and do me like that?! It just ends with quite a bit left to be tackled with the story... Maybe a season 2 will make a sneaky arrival? Eh I can dream can't I? All in all, a very fun watch.
Blood Lad had some solid first two episodes and then nothing. The story isn't something you haven't watched before and it was all over the place. Only the lead character was interesting and maybe one or two others characters tops, whether the lead lady was just there for fanservice and nothing else. Also, the humour was less and less as the anime proceeded. So, I'm overall disappointed.
Humour is there but sometime it dark kind of some kind of light also.
It feel like anti hero feature of the vampire
So much different in only ten episode and I can see the potential of next season but it just crack by ending remarks of the end.
From Start the hero I mean kind of anti hero who is vampire but obsessed with human world and can try everything as it impress by manga video games and other thing from there.
The Vampire can't decide the feeling toward the girl as he have not enough time what he experience first and for gain previous experience he try to anything. As in first episode she died (not fully).
Totally now I am going to read manga may be read in Japanese as it has latest as I want to know what happen next.

I love it but can't see all episodes and Prime Abo had it no more to watch
"Blood Lad" is an anime that I was really looking forward to because I thought that the drawing style and the character design of the main protagonist looked very appealing.
The references to other animes sometimes made me exhale more forcefully from my nose.
But unfortunately none of that is of any use if the anime loses itself somewhere and no longer knows what to do with itself.
There is a goal to revive the girl, but the way to get there is clunky and boring.
In addition, I'm not a fan of fan service at all, which unfortunately is very present here...
I would not recommend this anime.
