I would say the film does have some problems but it is over all a very entertaining and original film and deserves more attention and also the film has a cool soundtrack that gives me the chills, definitely would say see it.
okay, i understand, that this was James's first film, but did it really need to be this bad ? in fact its so bad that it was only made in one day and has a limited cast. looks like the other crew thought that this was so bad they must have went on a better film . Snix is what had no effort put into it and its just so bad. its a non movie where the actors don't act and the effects for the ghosts are so bad, i don't know why James subjected this to his profile page, this stupid film makes him look so bad, since the film had no effort put into it and looks like it was shot on a VHS, which it was, it makes the mask with Jim Carrey look like comedic gold, god darn it, the mask is cheesy too. don't subject yourself to this. its awful. 0 out of 10 and 10 out of 10 for attempting to make my list of the worst films of all time.
This one is the great beginning for the series, we see how James' movies improve and it was great, There's a. lot of bad part such as the beginning where the girl laughs while they were filming, and a crap thons of them! But I still love this movie, four stars check it out!
It is important to have previous knowledge of this little film's history. It's the first movie to be made by internet sensation James Rolfe, better known as the Angry Video Game Nerd (although I've always known him for his movie related content) and Rolfe himself admits that it's a hassle to sit through. Obviously, a movie made by three twelve year olds on a low quality early 90's video camera isn't likely going to be a genuinely good movie, but it still has its charm. It's oddly relatable for me, as I have made all of the movie making mistakes James did with this film. Since I was really young I've been making my own amateurish movies, and the secondhand embarrassment I get while watching this one mirrors exactly how I feel when I watch my own early projects.
This is by no means a good movie at all. As a matter of fact, it can be argued that this is one of the lowest quality films actually listed on this site, but it still has a genuine charm to it for any fan of James Rolfe and anyone who ever made amateur movies when they were kids.

- TriviaJames Rolfe didn't release this film publicly like his other early films until 20 years after it was made. The reason being is that he didn't regarded it to be that good of a film, but decided to release it to show case how his skills as a filmmaker have improved over the years.
- GoofsBefore the Jaws-like theme starts up over a black screen, you can hear the actor questioning the cameraman: "Are you recording?"

Jim: [epilogue narration with pictures] The mask of Snix was burned up to end the legend forever. The end?
Jim: [switch back to Jim; who's breaking the fourth wall] I'm not gonna let this story just end like that! What's in that box? I gonna figure out...
Jim: [takes a peek inside the box of horrors] OH MAI GOD!
[faints and drops the box]
