Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Karl Urban in The Boys (2019)

Review by Warlock72

Dirty Business

The Boys

2/10

What for?

Starting out with the bizarre look that Starlight has now. Either the actress has undergone some drastic procedure or has lost a lot of weight during the break. She looks way different than she did in the early years, and it is not just age.

Next comes the nasty web-shots at Spider-Man. I guess this show had to go there and make Spider-Man gross, since they do it to every other superhero.

There is a verbal showdown between Tek-Knight (Batman) and the Homelumper (bad Superman). It is interesting, since the rivalry between the Batman and Superman characters has relied on Batman having a kryptonite bullet (since the 1980s?).

In this TV series, there is no kryptonite for Homelumper, so we get to see what might be the dark side of a relationship between Batman and Superman if Batman had no way of stopping Superman.

Eventually we get to see the dirty side of Tek-Knight (Batman) too, and it comes in the dungeon (Batcave) where he keeps a Robin as a prisoner, and engages in gross and disgusting activities with Hughie (as Web-Weaver / Spider-Man). Ashley (Kolby Minifie) joins in too, in her new role as a dominatrix.

They both take turns deflowering Hughie / Spider-Man. For all fans of these characters, it is just pointless trash. What does any of this season have to do with killing off Homelumper? It is just filth for the sake of itself. "Look Ma no hands."
