One of the worst episodes ever...

Please, don't get me wrong; The Big Bang Theory (TBBT), like any show, has some great episodes as well as bad episodes. If I ever questioned myself about how much I like TBBT it happened in this episode. It seemed producers' brains had left the room. Some people said they were going back to their origins... people were wrong. After 6 years on air, a little bit of "evolution" should be expected... they are getting too old to play nerds and some activities just doesn't suit them anymore. If that is how grown-ups look like playing RPG's, I'm glad my chromosomes never had any interest in joining "brave and heroic" groups made of cards and dice.

    It's OK

Two stories. The girls head for Vegas. The guys play D&D. Raj gets called away. The girls end up on the no fly zone and return to the guys. They now move in on the game. Howard is pretty funny. Eventually things get too serious. The scene with Sheldon and Amy at the end are tedious.

    Too much Amy

Amy is not just ruining everyone's weekend. She's ruining the entire show. Every scene with her in it is awkward, and even Sheldon is not fun when he's with Amy. I really don't get what the writers see in her. If they need a nerd girl, why not Leslie Winkle? Really wish they can write Amy off the show.

Bernadette is a really annoying female dog

Every time Bernadette is on-screen, I have to dig really deep to find my inner strength. She is manipulative, bichy, annoying and her voice is like nails scratching on the chalkboard. She also acts like she is hot but probably even Amy looks better. But, as is the case with everything, God gives you all the tools you need to survive. In her case, it's her funbags that at least can attract some attention from some guys, I'm sure.

It also has got a bit boring when they tease Sheldon and Amy. But physical intimacy is probably the only thing that they can tease them about to feel better about their low value.

    • Trivia
Simon Helberg (Howard) really does all those impersonations (Al Pacino, Nicolas Cage, Christopher Walken) himself and has done several others throughout the series. These impressions were specifically set up for Helberg because doing imitations used to be part of his comedy act.
    • Goofs
When Penny wants to roll the dice to determine how her first attack goes, Howard claims the Dungeon Master is supposed to roll. If that were the case, Sheldon would have no need for the new set of dice he opens as they're starting earlier. In fact it is usual for players to roll their own attack rolls in roleplaying games.

Vitreous humour. Apparently that's what I've been seeing in my peripheral vision. My optometrist calls them floaters. He said it happens with age and not to worry about it. I worry about it. Maybe I'd feel better if he told me that what I was seeing was pixies, tiny magical creatures that only appear to a special few. But no, I'm seeing floaters, as in, "Hey Sarge, we just found a floater in the stream." Speaking of streams, I'm due for a general checkup with my MD - which means a prostate exam. I can't wait to hear what descriptive medical term he has for that charming, age-related problem. Probably something technical, like spongy, as in "Hey, Sarge, I spilled my coffee in the squad car. You got any paper towels, or something spongy?"
