Finally!
Just What We Hoped For
Totally, and absolutely worth everything. To me, this is the best way a season finale should be made. Immaculate acting, plot structure.
It does leave a lot of unanswered questions. But that is the point. Season 9 will be the ending, that's without a doubt.
Marshall and Lily's departure. And of course, the Ted-Barney-Robin triangle. A lot. And more.
I know this is a vague review, but i do not want to spoil it for anyone. Just know this, it is brilliant, intelligent and touching. The viewers will not be disappointed.
Perfect ending
A good ending and an even better new start for the ninth season with lots of open and interesting questions.
In my opinion this episode makes up for for all the not so astonishing episodes in this season.
It is a perfect balance between fun, good acting and a very impressive plot.
Especially the last song with the images together will give you goosebumps, that's for sure. I Don't want to spoil so just watch and enjoy it!
10 years after it aired
First of all, everyone, who watched the show when it was on, expected that they (the producers and the writers) to reveal who the mother was in the last episode. Instead, the creators of the show revealed the image of the mother in the penultimate season, and spent the last season why she is the mother; why she was the soulmate of Ted Mosby, and how they matched. And they spent one season explaining it.
I have to be honest here: when I was watching the show ten years ago, I was not expecting this, but it was a nice and surprising route for the writers to take.
Watching the final season after all these years, I can understand once more that they made the right choice.
The best ending for Robin and Barney
