A rip-off of El Chavo Animado

Almost every character in this show is a carbon copy of another in El Chavo Animado. Almost unashamedly so. Let's go through them:

Nester = Don Ramon (the moody loudmouth) Dan Duck = Senor Barriga (the stereotypical butt monkey business man) Momma = Dona Florina (the uptight/sexually aggressive mother ... OK, abusive parent in this case) Sally = Popis (the female friend) Dave = Quico (the clueless sidekick) Scaredy = El Chavo (the completely clueless protagonist)

I know the show is based on a children's book, but the similarities between this show and El Chavo Animado is mind-blowing. There is no way on Earth anyone will be able to convince me that this was a coincidence. The style of the character interactions, the mentally deficient work staff and campers, the PG-13 innuendo...it's EL CHAVO ANIMADO HIGH for crying' out loud!!
