It's hard to go past a short film called The God Crippled With One Leg. I wish the short itself went past the like, one or two striking images it kind of had to work with. It's interesting at first, the way it sounds and the uniquely nightmarish atmosphere it presents, with everything being off but not even in the way you'd usually expect. It's kind of otherworldly, digital, and uneasy. There's something there, with how it looks and feels.
But then it doesn't do anything but kind of just show you a handful of things, again and again, not really building or morphing. And it doesn't need to tell a story, because it's experimental and all, but it needs something more than just "hey, doesn't this look spooky/bleak."
It's not worthless, because it has something there initially, but that something isn't much.
