This poor excuse for a movie is terrible. It has been 'so good it's bad' for a while, and the high ratings are a good form of sarcasm, I have to admit. But now it has to stop. Technically inept, spoon-feeding mundane messages with the artistic weight of an eighties' commercial, hypocritical to say the least, it deserves to fall into oblivion. Mr. Derek, I hope you realize you are like that weird friend that everybody know is lame, but out of kindness and Christian duty is treated like he's cool or something. That works if you are a good decent human being, not if you are a horrible arrogant bully like you are. Yes, Mr. 'Daddy' Derek will end on the history books of the internet for being a delusional sour old man who thinks to be a good example for kids, but actually has a poster of Kim Jong-Un in his closet. Destroy this movie if you all have a conscience, as I hope IHE and all other youtube channel force-closed by Derek out of SPITE would destroy him in the courts.
I'm struggling to find a way to begin this review because of how awful this film is. I may have said in my title that this is 'The Room' for kids, but I wouldn't say that The Room was as bad as this. The Room actually has that one scene that is decent where Tommy Wiseau actually recounts an experience from his life. This has what I can only describe as a future lawsuit with Hanna Barbera (due to Cool Cat's likeness with Top Cat characters) whose father is a human who makes risqué comments to his cat wife that I would deem inappropriate for a children's film. Firstly, I would like to point out that the antagonist is the least realistic bully on the planet. Everyone experiences bullying at some point in their lives, and this is not like ANY bully that exist anywhere or has existed ever. Bullies don't stand behind your car cackling like a cartoon as they send you cyber hate mail. Secondly, Daddy Derek is creepy. If kids were to see their own fathers acting like this, they would know that their mother is probably suffering and that they will be his next victim. Lastly, Eric Estrada is looking so bloody awful that I had no idea it was him. I thought he had hit a low point when he appeared in that My Name is Earl episode, but this must be rock bottom. In conclusion, Tommy Wiseau is better than Derek Savage. I am a student who is currently studying childcare and on placement in a nursery, and I'd rather show them The Room than this as it would make more sense to them, myself and the other members of staff.
Like how the crap is this rated 7.8 OUT OF 10!? When ever you get bullied via. text, email, etc. you DON'T write back! I have learned that when ever you get bullied via. email or text you just block their E-mail address and/or phone number. Also, comic sans, I can't make that up! Acting is off the charts in-terms of bad, you SHOULD call the police when you find a gun lying somewhere and you can see the shadows of the camera men. Cliché kicking over sandcastle bullying, I can see why you would want to stop bullying but... By making an terrifically dull move is not the way to go about it. So my final rating for this terrible piece of garbage is a -3 out of 10.
When this movie's creator pulls down criticism from YouTube such as IHE's video and who knows what else, you know it's bad. He uses copyright strikes through YouTube's incredibly broken copyright system as well as calling people who dislike the movie "haters" and "bullies" like some 13-year-old making Minecraft let's plays. Removing any reviews which don't praise the work does not suddenly make it good, and shouldn't fool anyone. The expectations this sets up are entirely justified - besides the terrible acting, shaky camera-work, and cringeworthy dialogue, this is probably the only movie that somehow still thinks large yellow Comic Sans is an acceptable font.
Cool cat saves the kids is a bad movie, a very bad movie. I think everyone knows that by now. But not even the movie itself can be compared to how disgustingly hypocritical the creator turned out to truly be. Derek Savage. Enough with the joke reviews. Cool Cat Saves The Kids really is a joke, and not the funny type. Its a movie that makes you cringe in fear of what was going through people's heads while filming it and why the hell they thought this movie would be right, or even appropriate for children. And even though movies can be bad, i rarely ever have anything against the director for making it, like it's not offending me in anyway. It's their vision, their movie. I really don't have anything in me that wants me to hate them for it. But that was before Mr Savage decided to blackmail an amazing YouTuber called I Hate Everything for attempting to have a stab at the movie just for a bit of entertainment. What followed was Derek, a 50 year old man, deliberately trying to frighten, intimidate and threaten a young adult for simply trying to review a movie. Sure IHE might have said some nasty things, but any normal director would have just moved on and try to learn from their mistakes. But that was nothing compared to what IHE got in return. Threatening a young man to go to court for simply reviewing a movie. If your reading this Derek Savage, all I'm trying to tell you is..... Just grow up. You're a 50 something year old man, you've spent a lot more time on this world than IHE has, so why are you acting like a child, and even more so... and ironically a bully. Act like a mature person and stop bullying people that are smaller than you. Everything Cool Cat stands for.

- TriviaIn 2015, numerous YouTubers posted negative reviews of this film. Derek Savage had almost all of them removed, claiming they violated copyright, though his announcement video contradicted that. The Youtubers fought back, and each review was put back up. Ironically, Savage bullied numerous people because he disagreed with their review of his anti-bullying film.
- GoofsWhen Cool Cat talks to Butch the Bully's friends, a man walks out of a house in the background, spots the film crew, and immediately backs up out of frame.
- Crazy creditsAfter the closing credits the main characters talk to the audience, thank them for watching the movie and give a few last words to them about bullying.
