    Stupid, stupid, stupid

For all that he's supposed to be an intelligent guy, Castle has to be the STUPIDEST man on the planet. His girlfriend has a new job in another city, working a case, and what does lover-boy do? He shows up at the crime scene... in the other city... and starts talking to her about the case. And he didn't even seem to understand how wrong it was. Maybe subconsciously he was TRYING to get her fired. To my mind, Beckett wasn't nearly angry enough at him. She should have thrown a holy hissy-fit and made theh point sink in to his idiotic brain.

Love Castle. Not a good episode.

These two grown adults act like working for the Federal Govt is not 1000x more serious than her previous work?! What are they 12? They treated these characters like idiots. Just him acting like their relationship will be the same is immaturity beyond measure. Extremely disappointed in this episode. I hope the writers get better as this season goes on.

    Kind of a dumb episode...

So, here's my first review of a Castle episode. Let me say that I love the show. But, this episode was a little off kilter. There is NO WAY that Beckett would have been able to walk out of her office with CLASSIFIED documents. That's a no-no. So there's that. And Castle should know better. For a smart guy, he was pretty dumb in this episode.

So, it was just ok . If it weren't for the classified document SNAFU and Castle's idiocy in the episode, it would have been better.

    • Trivia
When Castle is telling Ryan and Esposito about being abducted, Esposito dismisses "Valkyrie" as a military term. Although there's no military use in the United States, arguably the most famous military use of the word was in Germany during World War II; Operation Valkyrie was an emergency plan for a continuity of government that several high-ranking members of the Nazi Party used in the July 20 attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler and negotiate a truce with the Allies.

      [first lines]

Kate Beckett: Oh, my... God! Oh, my God! You're proposing!

      Richard Castle: Okay. You're surprised.

Kate Beckett: Of course I'm surprised! I thought you were breaking up with me!

Richard Castle: By offering you a ring?

Kate Beckett: Well, you just- You seemed so serious!

Richard Castle: Yeah, of course I'm serious. This is the most serious thing I've ever done.
