This is just a fun show. The AIMS team are lovable, funny, crazy and each one a character. I really don't care if it's fake. I love Wild Bill's crazy, Trapper's 'putting the heat on it' and Huckleberry's 'gonna get it's a$$". Jeff's $10 words (bipedal)and Willie's traps are imaginative and downright cool. In this world of crime and war and bad things on just about every channel, it's nice to just sit back, suspend reality and smile for an hour. As far as I'm concerned, These guys can run around the woods looking for critters for years to come and I'll watch. Not everything has to be so serious...if it bugs you, change the channel.
I do get a kick out of this show and enjoy it more than any of the other Bigfoot shows on TV. Even though the cast is a cultural stereotype of people from West Virgina. In one episode the actually did catch the giant wild boar. The whole business of trapping Bigfoot is silly and they never even get any decent video. If they ever did it would be the science discovery of the century. Why they never shoot it is beyond me. Favorite hunt was when they went after the Grassman in Perry County Ohio. At least this monster, or some of their crew, threw stuff at them.
The worst episode was when they went after the Indian Legend Bigfoot in North Carolina. This one could even take over your mind which it did to two of the cast members. This time Mountain Monsters "Jumped the Shark" as they say.
I went to college in South Eastern, Ohio and there were plenty of stories about the monsters, the Moth Man and others that were told around the camp fire. In many ways this show brings back happy memories of those days.

This show is absolutely fantastic in that it never fails to keep me entertained. Granted I am usually howling with laughter, it is still fairly funny if you don't buy in to it (which I'm sure some poor souls do). I would love to be a producer or editor of the footage because it has to be great to go through all of it. Well put together that's for sure. At least it makes me laugh, unlike all the other "reality" but not reality shows out there. This season (dedicated to Bigfoot) has started off on the right foot. It's a bit like those wrestling programs on TV that have been around for decades or a good soap opera. At least they don't pretend to be trying to get scientific evidence. They walk off without one sample of that Sasquatch skat! Keep at it boys, we'll be watching.
In reference to a previous comment; it is entertainment but they call it "Reality TV" Not one damn thing real about this show, not one! So, I see your point and understand where you're coming from but it needs to be called "Fake Reality TV" or SCI-FI Also; This show is too funny! Their fake ass so-called southern accents are just funny too haha! I live in the Appalachian Mountains myself.
There is some strange stuff that goes on and some very mean people but nothing like this LOL My biggest warning would be don't mess with anyone's moonshine still and if you come upon a ginseng farm (GET OUT FAST)!! They will kill you if you mess with their ginseng. Anyway, the only "Monsters" are the crazy rednecks that live here. haha! I live in NE Tennessee on the border of VA & TN 10 minutes from the place they claimed they were in S-6 E1 in Virginia.
It's one of the most peaceful places on earth LOL
This is just plain old mindless TV entertainment for a relaxing evening. I enjoy watching. I knew it was silly watching the promos. I would rather watch this than some dancing with the has been stars or hearing no talent American idols. I look forward to it knowing what is gonna happen. Building traps like the 'Moth Man' episode. That was great. Knowing these guys never catch anything and watching the mess they get into is funny. Plus how many more of the same old alien shows can we stand? For me the big draw was the Appalachians, I can watch anything about that region. I am not a hillbilly basher but they make for TV.
