End to end dramatic delivery. Real, proper, Shakespeare like delivery from nearly everyone.

Many portentous speeches.

Everyone has a smoldering look.

Requisite slightly mad tribal leader with contrasting face paint.

Plinky plinky piano and twang twang bass line score.

A lead character and supporting cast that look remarkably well fed for their apocalyptic environment.

The writer and director do not understand less is more.

Feels like it desperately wanted to be picked up for a TV series.

If it was shot in a weekend for less than the cost of a small car then it's a classic. If not, find something else.

A decent effort for a reported $250,000\£211,000 odd budget.

But, as a standalone film it's rather poor and frustrating as way to much information missing and an ending that makes you feel has the film been incorrectly edited with missing scenes and the last parts missing etc.

In reality it feels more a feature length TV series pilot than a film as clearly it feels and looks to have been a setup for a TV series than a standalone film. Though sadly there seems to be no sign of a TV series being in development so who knows what the intent of this film really was.

If this was a confirmed pilot for a confirmed TV series I could easily have given it a 7/10. But as a standalone film it's fairly pointless and left me feeling frustrated and could not therefore give it any more than a 3/10.

Yes, this is a low budget film (IMDB estimates $250,000). This movie has to be a labor of love considering the quality of actors involved and the money allotted. You've got Lance Henriksen, Vernon Wells, Eric Roberts, the guy from Flash, couple of actors from TV's Walker Texas Ranger. But who really caught my eye is the lead, the bounty hunter played by Richard Tyson. Tyson as Dresher tracking down the low life scum John Hanson gave me a flash back to Tyson as Buddy Revell tracking down Jerry Mitchell in the high school cult film Three O'clock High. "You try and run, I'm gonna track you down. You sneak home, I'm gonna be under your bed" You made me mad, Jerry...now I'm gonna have to do something to work it off.." Maybe it's just me, but I felt like I was watching Buddy Revell 30 years later in a dystopian world with a fuzzy alternate universe plot line. Tyson as Dresher evokes the same intelligent menace as he did as Buddy Revell. I can't wait for "Buddy Revell goes to Mars". This time, can we cast Casey Seimaszko as an annoying sidekick?

This was some solid late night Syfy channel type fare. Was fortunate to find the DVD at Family Video. Very entertaining for fans of the genre. I would definitely recommend it.

Fun to see this kind of cast together since I've been watching them for as long as I can remember. Lance never goes out of style. I do wish that Eric Roberts and Clarence Gilyard Jr. had some more screen time but they still worked well within the story.

Would be nice to see a sequel to see where the story goes. Hopefully this get released on Netflix. Haven't been able to find it. And holy crap Jay Garrick is in this movie!
