Great Spin off from an Arrow Character.

When watching the Arrow this guy popped up in a few episodes, he was a real likable character and actor, then suddenly a scene in a lab and no more was he seen. Left with a wait for him to return it seemed he had maybe been written out and another good character lost from the Arrow.

Fortunately this was Arrow's loss and The Flash's gain. :) In the first episode there is some visual help to connect the two.

I scored this 10 because the Character is much easier to relate too, and a much more likable person. This has the feel good factor of Smallville, and a slight taste of the Arrow, though not the over kill and sometimes violent fight scenes. So will be more appealing to Men, Women and Families.

It is a real treat for all that this has made it pass its pilot stage.

Very Impressive Beginning To the Fastest Man Alive

Well as long as it has taken for Warner Bros to develop more of there DC characters into film, I'm glad we are finally getting to see The Flash, even if it is on television. First off, the show looks fantastic and I don't think we have to worry about it being a 'television budget' for special effects. The pilot really worked and is easily better than the Gotham pilot. Grant Gustin was great as Barry Allen and there were plenty of easter eggs for us nerds to geek out about.

The first episode involves Barry adjusting to his powers and working with Star labs to find out exactly what's happening to him. I thought Cisco and Caitlin were funny and more well written than their introductions in Arrow. Harrison Wells was also a better character than expected. I just wish we didn't find out what we did about him in the end of this episode. In Arrow they do a great job of developing a character first to make us care deeply about them, and then give us an interesting twist or a season changing story arc. The Flash can learn but the last scene could have just been handled a little more carefully.

Gustin really stood out which was nice to see based on how little he has done acting wise. His scene with Oliver was the highlight of the episode. Not only because I was geeking out that it was Green Arrow and The Flash on screen but because of what Oliver said. When he's talking about how Barry can be a hero like he never could be it really hit me. And how much Arrow has gone through in his short time being Arrow and how much we as an audience have witnessed. Oliver just wants to make sure Barry doesn't make some of the same mistakes that he did. I still hate the Flash suit, but I can get over it at least for this episode because of how great it was.

    +Visually stunning for TV

    +Gustin's presence

    +Supporting characters not THAT annoying

    +Flash and Arrow scene

+Easter eggs and teases as to what's coming

-Just don't give away too much in the first episode

    a fast episode

This was a pretty good episode. Decent villain good introduction but it was so fast like the flash himself and there is almost no character develepment, but i think there are a lot of episodes left to do that.

Arrow showing up was good and how he learns about is powers is funny. He is so confused. The trainings suit looks so ridiculous i glad that that was not his real suit.

Harrison wells is suspicious. I am curious what happens to him. Cisco is a fun character and caitlin is so serious but i understand why

Good things: team flash decent villain good introduction

bad things: the suit is to red its sometimes to fast i don't like iris to much.

    Rating: 9/10.

    Lots Of Fun!

I didn't expect much out of The Flash. I already didn't like Arrow, and when I heard it was from the same creators as Arrow, I knew that this show wasn't going to be anything special. But I gave it a shot, and man am I glad I did! The show is very fast-paced, and is a bucket of fun! Cars flipping in the air, Flash doing his cool moves, and a great villain! What a way to kick off the first episode! The whole episode is extremely rushed, purposely done by the writers so that we can get to the main story. And while a lot of people seem to dislike that part of the show, I actually enjoyed it. Most shows these days bore you to death with the origin story, with out letting you get to the main point, but this show jumps right in! I LOVE IT! Acting is Superb! Grant Gustin does the best portrayal of The Flash yet! Overall, this episode was fantastic! It wasn't perfect, but if it continues like this, we might have ourselves a keeper! - Jdmax

Cisco Ramon repeatedly uses the term "knots per hour" as a speed unit, which is wrong, because a knot (nautical mile per hour) is already a measure of speed.
    • Quotes

Oliver Queen: So why come to me? Something tells me you didn't just run 600 miles to say "hi" to a friend.

Barry Allen: All my life, I've wanted to... just do more - be more - and now I am, and the first chance I get to help someone, I screw up. What if Wells is right? What if I'm not a hero. What if I'm some guy who was struck by lightning?

Oliver Queen: I don't think that bolt of lighting struck you, Barry. I think it chose you.

Barry Allen: I'm just not sure I'm like you, Oliver. I don't know if I can be some... vigilante.

Oliver Queen: You can be better, because you can inspire people in a way that I never could, watching over your city like a guardian angel... making a difference... saving people... in a flash. Take your own advice: Wear a mask.

      [rappels to the next building]

      Barry Allen: Cool.

Oliver Queen: [sees Barry runs off in a flash] Cool.
