    Not really a sports anime

I stumbled across this anime after watching Hajime no Ippo, Captain Tsubasa, Yowamushi Pedal and One Outs, they got me hooked to sports anime, I had high expectation from this one since it had a very good rating but it was very disappointing. How should I put it, it's more of a SLICE OF LIFE anime rather than a Sports anime. When I watched Hajime no ippo I felt so pumped up I started working-out, One Outs showed me how much a baseball game weighs upon the pitcher, and so on.

This anime is kinda like fairy tail, it has overpowered characters but the plot, back stories, character development are too shallow. There are brief moments when they actually do sports but most of the time it's just gags and other stuff.

If you looking for a baseball anime to watch, this ain't the one, The one that comes recommended is ONE OUTS. Peace

    An anime that takes time

When I first watched this anime I'm not gonna lie that I'm one of those fans that complain about "Oh look another Furuya episode" and it's just so frustrating to see that he is so overrated and I hate how he overshadows Sawamura in most part but hey after rewatching the anime for the millionth time without skipping any episode I came to appreciate every character and even the baby-steps progress Sawamura has gone through plus the rivalry he has with Furuya that comes with bromance are to die for! This is probably the only anime that I came to the extent of learning how to read a Manga because I'm that obsessed with this Anime!

    Great Sport Anime

This story is incredible-it made me laugh, cry, and experience a whirlwind of emotions. It's truly heartwarming to witness the struggles, progress, failures, and successes of the main character and the team.

The bond between the team members is beautifully portrayed, and every character is very well-written. I feel this anime is highly underrated and deserves much more recognition.

The baseball games in the series are also thrilling. Even though I knew nothing about baseball before, the story was so compelling that I ended up searching for the basics on YouTube just to better enjoy the matches.

I highly recommend this anime to anyone who loves sports and friendship-driven stories!

    Decent Sports Anime

This anime is simple. Don't expect any progress and development like Haikyuu, Kuroko No Basket, Hajime No Ippo, Captain Tsubasa or One Outs. This anime is nothing like them, however it's still a good watch.

The story follows Sawamura Eijun a southpaw but he doesn't really feel like a MC. His character development in insanely slow, nothing even remotely close to any of the anime I've mentioned above. Even after 3 seasons you won't find yourself remotely impressed by his development which is incredibly disappointing for a series with so much episodes.

Ignoring the MCish the story and animation is pretty good and pretty much all the good teams have amazing characters you'll get to know and love. If you can ignore the horrible character development of the MC then you would love this anime.
