Jane Austen story make this worthwhile
As a white anglo-saxon, I was hesitant of enjoying the recast but I liked the story portrayal immensely. It was a reach I felt casting black actors and either they were very good in their parts as actors or they sold out their racial characteristics as it seemed like black persons trying to portray how a white cast would have played the roles.not true to any hint of black traits, mannerisms or culture which still had to exist back in that day. . Perhaps it was just excellent time-period acting but it didn't ring at all true to me like the black cast sold out for just pandering to attract a black audience but nonetheless the strong captivating and brilliant Jane Austen story still carried the movie.
