If you want a joke of an animation, this one's it

This has got to be one of the worst fan made projects i have ever had the disgrace of watch and hear, not only does this ''short animation'' lack of basic filmmaking skill, but it's also full of badly taken decisions by the director, awful and overcharged of pandering references for the bronies, and probably the worst pacing ever done by an editor.

How should i even start? The story itself and the main purpose of it aren't that interesting to begin with, all the writers thought about, was about making something that the show already showed to it's audience, and duplicate it WOOSH Super creative ideas out there guys.

Characters don't act like they should be, the ridiculously flawed edition makes the whole experience make you wish the animation was already over, the voices sometimes are extremely low volumed and hard to understand (Not counting of course, how badly they were acted) and overalls the story doesn't hook you up because it's so unoriginal and empty.

For the first fan made episode ever, this just makes you want to watch the original show.

It's obvious there's no substitute for experience, and this project reflects it very well.

I Don't Understand Why Anyone Would Hate This So Much?

I just had to make a proper review on this after seeing the first few written reviews. This was a fan made MLP animation made by Zachary Rich (Now known as FlamingoRich). He is an art student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He decided to start a big school project called the "Double Rainboom''. He managed to gather over 1 hundred skilled and talented animators to help with this project. It took them exactly 54 weeks to make, which equals to 1 year, 1 week and 6 days. That's a lot of time if you ask me.

Now let's start answering some questions shall we. I know there is an excessive amount of memes and fandom memes in this animation, but that's what made it hilarious! I laughed so many times when I watched this. I also knew that the characters weren't like themselves, but the thing is They Don't Have To Be, like come on people did you really think they'd make this show accurate? What's the fun in that? The sound design was also pretty damn impressive. The music at the end credits was just spectacular! And don't forget the voice acting! I was very impressed by the voice actors, they'd managed to copy the voices of the official characters impressively well! Though voice AI has improved so much to the point where it sounds identical to the original characters. Which is also incredibly impressive!

These People Made Everything From Scratch! Which is insane to think about! To the background, the characters, and all the assets! I'm currently an amateur animator, and it was really enjoyable to see how much effort they'd put into this. I've seen their animatics on their channel, it was really impressive, and was really interesting to watch. It's what made you know how dedicated these people are in making this animation. Also who the hell says this is less enjoyable than G3?

And to people who said the voices were low and hard to understand. I don't really understand what they mean, the characters said things pretty clear and audible. I'm pretty sure most of the VA's recorded inside their homes for this animation. By the way I just have to say this, but the reason why they added The Powerpuff Girls into this is because Lauren Faust really enjoys The Powerpuff Girls and even made a character in My Little Pony after the character Bubbles, and that character is... Derpy! Both shows were made/collaborated by Lauren Faust. If only these people just did a few minutes of research they'd get all there questions answered.

In conclusion I'd say this was one of the best/well made fan made MLP animation I've ever seen! I hope these trolls can better understand something better before writing hateful "reviews" on this saying "it's not show accurate" or "it's the worst animation I've ever watched". A review isn't a place to hate, it's a place to improve. Here's the official definition if anyone disagrees: "A review is a formal assessment or examination of something with the possibility or intention of instituting change if necessary".

And that concludes my formal written review on The Double Rainboom. Without revealing too much spoilers.

worst mlp fim animation ever made

This has to be the worst mlp fim animation ever made, and why would twilight make a potion that will make you enter a hole different world in a different cartoon and just the idea of who putting the power puff girls in it there not even the same "The Powerpuff Girls" is on cartoon net work wile "My Little Pony" was on the hub but then transferred to discovery family is horrible even i'll rather watch generation 3 than this.

The Characters have some of the weirdest personalities ever the animation was so bad. Sometimes the voices were extremely low and hard to understand it is acted so bad.The plot of the story was terrible. It was written badly (i don't recommend it to anyone who's new to the mlp fim fandom)

This is what happens when artists think they can write

Double Rainboom is pretty good at what it is--a Hanna-Barbera-style show, using MLP characters flattened down to their basic repertoire of tics (like Hanna-Barbera characters are). It has funny animations and constant action. But it isn't a story. It's two different stories pasted together: a framing story about interactions between Twilight and Rainbow, and a crackfic about Rainbow Dash vs. Powerpuff Girls.

This over-long interlude with the Powerpuff Girls was connected to the framing story only by mere physical causality: events from the framing story caused Rainbow to enter another dimension. But there was no intentional causality. Rainbow went there by random chance, not due to any decision of her own. Her exit from it was also, from her perspective, pure luck. So you can't say Rainbow had a character arc, since the events she supposedly learned to avoid, couldn't have been predicted.

It was completely unsatisfactory to anyone expecting MLP, which was extremely character-based under the blessed rule of Lauren Faust. That doesn't mean just repeating their basic stereotypical kinks. It also doesn't mean putting characters into the most-obvious conflicts their characters could have. A classic MLP G4 episode (meaning seasons 1+2) shows a situation in which the ponies learn how to work together, using their different individual talents as necessary, rather than each trying to do things their own way. Double Rainboom doesn't even have a full conflict, because it never explains what Twilight wants to do with the potion that Rainbow steals. It is physical conflict without character conflict, and physical causality without intentional causality.
