Here in Las Vegas all we had was The Sinister Minister (off the air) and Svengoolie (whom I cannot stand). So when I stumbled upon Horror Hotel, it was like an oasis in the desert.
Lamia isn't like all the other horror hosts. She is hot & sexy, but doesn't come on too strong. And I love that she is informative, and doesn't try to be funny. Usually friendly, but occasionally her mean streak appears - "We'll take a quick break, so don't go anywhere... I MEAN IT! DON'T GO ANYWHERE!"
She begins the movie with an introduction of trivia facts - I thought I knew a thing or two, but every time I am surprised to learn something new. Even the movies others have shown a dozen times - well, as she says herself, "You might have seen this one before, but you haven't seen it with me..." So shut the windows, lock the doors, put out the lights (except maybe one candle) and cuddle up with Lamia on Sunday night... if you dare...

I have been following Horror Hotel and Lamia for several years now - sorry to not review sooner! - and am so glad that I flipped onto the show one fateful night. This show quickly became one of my favorites, and I have yet to stop watching. They do keep some humor and hoke that old-time late-night host fans have come to expect, but I love that the heart of it is actually educational. Whether we are learning about horror movies, the history of cinema, or even Lamia's weird world of monsters, you always learn something new. It's refreshing, and I hope more people can continue to discover this wonderful show. Lamia and team, please keep these coming for as long as you can!
This show is "THE" hottest "new" thing airing right now nationally on Roku! This, although the show is not new, is pretty amazing news to see because now more viewers can enjoy the show(s). The producer & host, Lamia does a brilliant job. Very cool venue and way the shows are performed. I have seen this young lady in other things and she never ceases to amaze me. Audiences love her & I think you will too. She has a great energy she brings to the show, getting these cool movies on air. And if you like snakes, you will love her Lilleth, just freaky! Thumbs up for a show well produced & performed.

I have been watching Horror Hotel for a few years now since first discovering it on Retro. I love love love it. Lamia isn't Queen for nothing. She is so great with all of the facts and cool trivia. I even love when she's mean to the zombies. Little Zombie is funny but I would be annoyed if I was Lamia too. I always looks forward to seeing what she picks to show next. I am often surprised and in a good way. Thanks Lamia & crew - I am your loyal subject!
A lot of people say they are Lamia's biggest fan but I've claimed it longest. Sorry but it's true! I have watched since day 1 when it was just on the internet! It sure has changed!! But for the good! So much attention to detail and always making it better for the viewers. I grew up in Cleveland watching Ghoulardi. It was the greatest! I was a big fan but Lamia somehow turns the host concept upside down - in a good way. I read reviews that said she is like Robert Osborn for horror movies and agree. It is nice to learn more about these movies I grew up with and see movies I never saw before. There is just enough goofing around and skits to give it that old school host feel but without being too much or taking away from the movie. I HATE when they take away from the movie with voice overs and goofy sounds or interruptions. Lamia doesn't do that! I am a fan for LIFE!~
