    The Lighthouse

For me, the humor in How I Met Your Mother is hit or miss, and in this episode, there were a lot of misses. This episode is a follow-up to Knight Vision as Robin fights with Barney's mom prior to the wedding, and Ted mops around for being alone. Personally, a lot of the jokes didn't land, and it felt like they were trying too hard. With that said, there were some sweet character moments for Barney, Robin, and Ted at the End. Anna Camp returns as Cassie. However, this time she doesn't have as much to work with as her and Ted's story isn't given as much time as some of the other characters. Also, I think Ted's relationship with Cassie is still problematic. She didn't sleep with him in the first episode because she was going through a lot, so now they can never be together? That just rubs me the wrong way. With that said, I did find Ted having to carry Cassie up to the top of the lighthouse funny. All in all, there were some, and I love Anna Camp. They just didn't use her to her full potential.

I like the bit where they left Kurt on the side of the road

    Same dull and boring....

HIMYM's quality is continuously degrading. My hopes lighten up after seeing the fifth episode but after that every episode seems to be extended. They should never have come up with idea of premiering season 9 solely based on the wedding. Except two episodes, none of the episodes is at a par quality as of the previous seasons. With Season 9 coming, we all had high hopes but considering the 8 Seasons, I wish this one do not end in a manner that make us to forget all the fun we had watching the previous 8 seasons. HIMYM Season 9 was highly anticipated but this is not we were waiting for! Concluding, I want to say that HIMYM is losing its touch!

    • Trivia
Barney talks about his mother's scrambled eggs and how they inspired a number of classic rock songs. This is probably a reference to the song "Yesterday" by The Beatles being named "Scrambled Eggs" as a working title to begin with.
    • Goofs
Robin pours a maple syrup on her neckline during breakfast. In later scenes she is clean.
    • Quotes

Barney Stinson: [about Robin's mother] She fits in a bathtub. That's good news. Unless... Oh, God, how big are Canadian bathtubs?
