It seems unlikely that a French fashion magazine editor would go for an obscure tavern-keeper, but, okay, yeah, Jack Porter's a decent bloke (I like him) but opposites don't attract that much, not really?
And Amanda Clarke's gravestone. Would Jack still think of her as Amanda Clarke? Okay, this bit of the story is a quagmire and best avoided, but at the very least, Jack, as he sits there "talking to her" should be mentioning "I never really even knew you, not ever."
