If you don't talk, I'll take you to Papua New Guinea and stick your head on a pole. Reddington is doing more killing than ever. Obviously, the people he deals with are the worst of the worst, and we can't begin to know where the chips are falling. Here we have a part time doctor who finds abuse victims, then does to them what they have done to their victims. There is a great scene where Red takes a apart and reassembles it while the guy he is intimidating is trying to get his job done before he is shot. There are at least two other brutal killings. Alan Alda returns as a politician who is putting the screws to the special unit.
Wow. You have to seen this in sequence with the prior episodes but it is still pretty amazing.
When did quirky become the hallmark of a quality series? I suspect the lineage is along the lines of Breaking Bad or The Sopranos or Dead Like Me.
In any case this is likely one of the quirkiest shows ever.
And so far in season 1 it refuses to plateau and rest on its laurels. Even though it could if it wanted to. PERSON OF INTEREST for example ran through one entire season without ever changing its formula.
But this show keeps testing, tweaking, and developing its characters.
Reminds me of BANSHEE, my other super-fave and in many ways similar in that it too keeps testing the audience.
Great episode.

Great episode.
We've seen Reddington as a criminal, and a cold-blooded one at that. We've seen Reddington as protective and caring of those close to and/or loyal to him. And in this episode, we see Reddington as the person you better not be messing with. Ruthless, calculated and without having to change his calm demeanor, leaving a trail of despair whilst digging deeper and deeper into who betrayed him.
Oh, and there was also a Blacklister that I almost forgot about, posing an interesting ethical dilemma where the victim becomes the culprit. It was actually quite cool, but Red's hunt was what captured my attention most.
Also shoutout to Aram; his scene with Red was both funny and exciting.

I love the blacklist and Spader. We are hoping for a lot of seasons and we cant wait till every episode! Keep up the good work! Greatings from Norway! :) Spader fits this role like a hand in glove! Im sad about Mr kaolans death though. She was a very good cleaner and her role in the show will be missed but i hope we will see someone filling her role. And to all the ones who were in doubt that Red was her father COME ON! He risked his life many times for her. He would never do that to anyone else except maybe Dembe. We all love Dembe! He's great! Cant wait till season 5 :)

Probably the best episode so far. The good Samaritan is one scary person. The whole background and methods. And the development into the over all story. So great!

- Quotes
Raymond 'Red' Reddington: This is a Colt .45 1911. I can strip and reassemble this weapon in well under two minutes.
Aram Mojtabai: Mr. Reddington, please.
Raymond 'Red' Reddington: Once I have it reassembled, I'm gonna reload the mag and if, at that time, your task remains incomplete, I'm gonna empty that mag into your head.
Aram Mojtabai: That's really messed up.
Raymond 'Red' Reddington: Don't look so stricken. The first shot will kill you.
