One of the best shows I've seen. Karl is interesting, insightful, funny and witty. He is the kind of guy I would like to have a beer with and shoot the Sh#t. Keep up the good work. Not sure what else can be said about the show, other than I like it and now I can't post this until I come up with ten lines minimum that I must fill with meaningless words. Anyhow I like the show and can't really say too much more. My hand is getting tired of typing because I have arthritis in one hand from too much use over the years. I did buy one of Karl's books, this was entitled "To Slap a Jelly Fish", Karl put to pen his many very funny thoughts. The book was mainly about his childhood and the places he visited.
An idiot is bored with the meaninglessness of his existence and seeks to broaden his horizons in an attempt to become a better man. PSYCH! It's actually about a little roundy-headed, chimp-like Manch moron who is being paid handsomely to travel the world and seek out freakishly happy freaks in an attempt to understand why they seem so much happier than him. For example, the first episode sees Karl probing the human compulsion to get married. He's been in a relationship with the same woman for half his life and they've never tied the knot because he doesn't see the point. Can anyone in the world possibly change his outlook on what he's always considered to be the myth of so-called "Wedded Bliss"?
The only reason Karl Pilkington has agreed to make this "Travel Mockumentary", that could very vaguely be referred to as "An Idiot Abroad Series 4", is because those brilliant "bullies" (aka Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant) are no longer at the helm. They have absolutely no say in where he goes or what he does. Karl is finally in charge of his own itinerary... and there's no Dwarf-For-Hire tagging along to act as a "hindrance" (No offense Warwick). This means that if Karl should find himself in a lacklustre location and/or a sticky situation, he has no one to blame but himself. LET THE FUN BEGIN!
How's my review? Call 1800 DROP OUT :p Here, have a few more quotation marks and misplaced commas ",",", :D

To all the people familiar with Karl, from his dealings with a certain Mr Gervais & Mr Merchant, you probably wont need much of an intro on what to expect from Karl. To all the non believers or Karl virgins, it is really quite difficult to explain just how good the show is. It is basically just a normal guy being put into strange situations & putting his own thoughts out there, but Karl being Karl, it is these thoughts which make the show. The show is 3 episodes in so far & it's been superb, what i like about this series quite a lot, is that we are finally seeing a part of Karl hidden previously. Now he is the master of his own destiny so to speak in this one, he seems to be able to enjoy & appreciate the experiences & it really shows through on screen. Two examples of this, the dancing clown part & when he found 2 pizzas in the bin.
It really is a great show which as plenty of laughs. Well worth anyones time.

Hilariously funny sometimes, other times it's down right weird, like his seeming obsession with sitting on the toilet. However every now and again he hits the nail right on the head and says things that are bang-on right. Only he is one of a very small minority who actually has the guts to say it. Good on him !!! I wish a few more people had the guts to stand up and speak up against those people who abuse their positions of power and their money to keep the unfair status quo.
Only discovered Karl this year in lockdown. Where has he been all my life? He's hilarious so down to earth. He's right cheered me up in lockdown
