    life without Californication

I watched on DVD. The medium. The symbol of my summer Saturdays these past years. Now it is over. I had withdrawal symptoms for BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and for FRIENDS.

There is nothing to replace it. Nothing. There is absolutely nothing that can live up to CALIFORNICATION. If there is, please leave me a message, it will be welcomed. But nothing of that caliber exists. Nothing. Not in the genre of comedy and mature content in a heady mix with gorgeous actresses and likable lead character.

Gonna miss you, Jack. Karen. Charlie. Marcie. Julia. And Stu.

Being DVD, I have it on hand. But still...

THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SEASON 8!!!

Just like BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, there should have been a Season 8!

A fond farewell, you guys were pals. Thank you Tom Kapinos, David Duchovny, Natascha McElhone, Evan Handler, Pamela Adlon, newcomer (and old flame) Heather Graham...

GONNA MISS YA EVERY Saturday FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!

    Showtime, how could you?????????????

Unfair Ending. After Seven Seasons the Show Deserved Better

After the 12 episodes for season 7 had been filmed, Showtime canceled the series. Therefore, the cast and crew did not know that this was going to be the last episode. Thus, there are numerous subplots that are left hanging. If Showtime had any class, they would have asked for a one hour or 90 minute final episode to allow the filmmakers to finish the stories.

Unlike most people who disliked the seventh season, I thought it was quite good. It was much lighter than any season since the first one. There wasn't any outrageous sex scenes far less emphasis on drugs, and there were a lot of new and interesting characters and relationships started.

Among my dislikes of the final season were the Levon character (why make him so stupid and Rebecca so bright?) and Stew's million dollar indecent proposal. Marcy was sometimes sweet, but I couldn't imagine anybody paying a million dollars to sleep with her, especially after they had been married for a couple of years. Heather Graham was a mixed bag. I love her and she did fine work, but almost all the other actresses before her did full nudity and swore like porn stars. She felt out of place in the series. The one thing that I thought really worked was Santa Monica Cop show. It was very satirical and very "30 Rock" style funny.

The last episode has Hank refusing to have sex twice, which probably indicates that he has at last grown up. He also writes a beautiful poem to Karen saying he'll never give up on their relationship. This re-emphasizes what he had been pretty much been saying for seven seasons.

Other than this, it seemed pretty much like an average episode, just a little bit lighter than most.

I am very sad that I won't be seeing any more of Hank Moody,Karen and Becka. Charlie, Marcy and Stu while funny in small doses, had long ago turned annoying so I won't really miss them. I'm also sorry that I won't be seeing Rick Rath, Eddie Nero, and Sue Collini again. Most of all I'll miss Mia, and the 30 other beautiful and dreamy-sexy women that Hank had affairs with during the course of the series. I would love to meet any of them and Jackie. I would even make an indecent million dollar proposal to, if I had a million dollars.

Haphazardly done.I was expecting a wholesome ending with a twist.

Well for first, Will miss this show, alot. Like a lot!

Second,I know David Duchovny is a good director. He directed many episodes of x files and Californication. He goes for that subtle plot change in his episode which is usually a small one but creates a big impact in viewers mind, He should ve directed this shows ending.

Remember how Californication got started? episode 1 ,2 ,3 were all outstanding, they all had a last moment twist. This show deserved a lot better Didn't quite felt like an ending..

Nonetheless, Its been an amazing ride,Hank .Thank you for lessons, women and music Cheers madaafaaa....

    • Crazy credits
For season 7 episode 11 and 12 Madeleine Martin was added back into the opening credits, in the same slot as the previous seasons. In episode 11 her name was credited, with the video clips of her. However, in episode 12 her name wasn't shown and only the clips were.
