The guard on Daniels room is named Oster after a Producer on the show Steve Oster.

Goofs
The mother said Daniel had the flu and that he was given antibiotics and then was fine. Antibiotics will only help a bacterial infection not a viral infection like the flu. Assuming medical personnel gave him the antibiotics, they would have known this and explained it to Daniel's parents.
