Goofs
At the cake auction the first cake is a Red Velvet. While the origins of the Red Velvet cake is disputed, it is generally believed to have been introduced in New York city around 1920 -- 10 years after this episode is taking place. Additionally, it is unlikely that a poor remote mining town would have cream cheese available, which is used in the icing.
