Awful....
This is a VERY low-bar show. It's not funny.
If it's "filmed in front of a live studio audience" why does it sound like a laugh track is HEAVILY used?? Did the live audience never laugh (not surprising) so they had to add a laugh track in post? I guess "filmed in front of" doesn't mean anyone actually laughed. I mean watching this, why would they?
.. and throw in as many recognizable faces as possible.. and it all seems like a "favor" being done for Morgan, who is CLEARLY reaching here and is apparent.
Then the mindset of "let's peach some morals in EVERY episode while we're at it".. and wow is it just BAD, terribly BAD.
This reminded me of late 70s "urban" sitcoms I saw when I was very young, where they FORCED the same old, tired, jokes. Honestly reminded me of Sandford and Son, in "tone" not premise, and Morgan is getting more and more like Red Foxx in his later years - only devoid of any humor. I'm just waiting for him to start clutching his chest and faking a heart attack and yelling at his dead wife (yup the wife in this is dead) that he's coming. (yeah OLD reference.)
This is horrible, not the least bit funny, and unrealistic. I, personally detest "sitcoms" that try and "preach" to viewers.

Terrible show from the very start
I've watched a few shows with Tracy Morgan and thought him to be reasonably entertaining usually. This show just feels like nobody was actually interested in making it watchable. The story was incredibly weak, the laughs were just not there at all and the way the show was presented felt flat and lacklustre. I expected something of the likes of the Last OG but this show is far from that standard.
Terrible Acting- Corny Lines
This was supposed to be like a spin-off of The Neighborhood but it's a drastic fail. Within 2 minutes of episode 1, i knew this show was a miss. Tracey Morgan is just not funny in this, the cast isn't string. Calvin and Tina made a debut in ep 1 but that was the best part of the show.
Im so disappointed because with them canceling The Neighborhood, I was looking forward to seeing them make this into a hit but it's a staggering disappointment. You can tell they'l just wrote a bunch of unfunny lines hoping they'd stick.
Im upset.

Worth The Watch - Room To Grow
The television landscape is crowded, but every so often a show comes along that feels less like an escape and more like coming home. "Crutch" is exactly that show. It builds its story around a theme that is incredibly related to this time period: the multigenerational living situation. As families increasingly move back in together, "Crutch" captures the chaotic, complex, and beautiful reality of this dynamic with expert care.
While the show certainly has its funny moments, its true strength is its heart. This is a genuinely heartwarming series that understands the delicate balance of personalities required to make such a household work. What makes it so effective is the authentic family mix. It is easy to see reflections of your own relatives in the characters on screen; that relatability is what makes the show so compelling.
The clear standout of the ensemble, however, is the sister-in-law. She is, without a doubt, my favorite character. Every line she speaks is elevated by her brilliant, funny delivery, and she steals every scene she is in.
"Crutch" has laid a fantastic foundation. My only hope for the next season is that the writers lean into what makes the show great. I would love to see it become even funnier, and a core part of that would be giving the sister-in-law a much larger role. Her talent is the secret ingredient, and more of her would only make this heartwarming show even better.

Awful
This is just terrible. The writing, the acting the canned laughter...all of it. I mean I have always liked Tracey Morgan but this is just sad. The aunt character is gross!! Not one redeeming quality. Kids are terrible actors too. Honestly I can't even believe anyone thought this was good enough to continue. I watched to the end hoping it would get better. It did not.
