PAINFUL TO WATCH: poor writing, poor acting, unbelievable character behavior

This movie was extremely disappointing. Danica McKellar's performance was weak and annoying. Her voice was not strong, even before she was charged with a crime. Even in the supposed every day life she seemed weak and unsure. That made it difficult to watch from the start. She was poorly cast. Even had the character been played and someone unsure of themselves, the actor should have a stronger voice. There was no righteous indignation, something that would generally been seen in a suspect making McKellar, as the main character, poorly cast.

I would not recommend this movie under any condition. We couldn't watch it through to the end because of the poor unbelievable script and the poor acting. This is one of the worst movies we have seen in ages. The poorly written script, poorly cast characters, poor acting coupled with very weak performances along with unbelievable character behavior makes this the dud of the year. There are a lot of good movies out there. Don't waste your time with this.

If you want your intelligence insulted ...

The only thing worth watching in this whole movie is the trial defense summation in the courtroom. It is beautifully written and poignant. So skip close to the end for it. It stands on its own. Otherwise if you watch this movie you will need to come up with reasons for why some of these actors bothered to do this movie. For example, did they owe someone a favor? Were they related to someone connected to the movie and couldn't say no to it? Did they lose a bet? Was it someone's homework assignment and supposed never to be exposed to the general public? It is worse than a very bad Lifetime movie.

    pitiful

I don't know why i continue to watch movies when the reviews tell me not to - maybe i just want to see how really bad they actually are - But as usual I sat this one through and yes, it was truly bad - so many bad points - most of them are already mentioned so I wont bother with it - i wont say dont watch it cause you might be like me and really just need to see how bad it is and to think they got paid for this !

    Horrible

Bad acting, unbelievably bad script. Couldn't take my eyes off her awful false eyelashes the entire time. Someone who is going through all that doesn't wear glam makeup and it stays put!

Why is everyone in this miserable movie so smug.

No one in this movie is sympathetic. Even the female cop is questionable because she looks like she is about to attack or as if she's hiding something herself. This is the weirdest movie. Even the attorney who is convinced of her innocence suddenly turns on her, gets into a fight with a public defender and threatens to sue him-the attorney was just vehemently defending her and then bam, he flips like a burger.

The dumb detective is convinced that she's guilty because the comatose victim wakes up for less than a minute and screams in pain. He says twice, we have a positive ID. I've never seen such nonsense and stupidity in my life. If you wanna laugh, though, give this movie a try.

Acting is bloody atrocious. Except Danica.

Ellen: [Ellen gets pulled over by a police officer] Hello, officer, was I speeding?

Officer Ritts: No, ma'am. Can I see your license and registration, please?

[Ellen gives it to the officer]

Ellen: Did I run a stop sign?

Officer Ritts: No. You're tags are expired.

      Ellen: Oh,

      [she scoffs]

Ellen: wow, my husband usually takes care of that. Um, he must've forgotten. He worked for the department, Mike Plainview, Do you know him?

Officer Ritts: No, I don't believe I do.

[she is writing Ellen a ticket]

Ellen: Do you seriously have to write me a ticket?

Officer Ritts: Yeah, they're really cracking down on us so, we have to go through the motions.

[the officer gives Ellen the ticket]

Ellen: I've never been pulled over in my life.

Officer Ritts: Take care of it in fourteen days, it wont be a problem. Drive safely, now.

      Ellen: Thank you?
