I wish more children's cartoons were like this. A lot of children's media nowadays feel like they were made with the mentality of "It's for children, it doesn't need to be good", but this show isn't like that. It never treats it's audience like they were dumb, doesn't rely on jokes that no one above the age of 6 would laugh at and teaches about the world in a way that doesn't feel forced. As a result, it's actually quite watchable even for someone older than the target audience.
Besides that, the characters are also really likeable, I specially like Doki himself. The animation and artstyle are pretty good too. The only negative thing I have to say is that some of the songs are kinda bad. The ones that play every episode, like the opening theme are fine, it's mainly when Fico sings that it doesn't sound very good. Also, the songs in Doki Rocks Rio feel really lazily written, but that's just a nitpick.
Overall, it's a shame not many people talk about this show anymore. I wish they uploded the full episodes on the Discovery Kids YouTube channel.
