    Crazy Steven Universe episode.

So Many Birthdays was pretty crazy Steven Universe episode. Steven wanted to throw birthdays for Garnet Amethyst and Pearl. But the Gems don't celebrate birthdays. Steven even let them wear the birthday suit how cool Pearl says they don't age they can still get hurt and die wow.

But then Steven starts to age and almost dies of getting older!

    Too many Birthdays

Too Many Birthdays is the episode of Steven Universe where Steven learns that the gems don't celebrate their birthdays and try to throw parties for them. I could see why they don't as different planets' years and days are different amount of time (like a Mars year is 1.88x a Earth year and a Mars day is slightly longer than an Earth one and a Jupiter Day is around 10 hours) and that Gems have more important things to do than celebrate birthdays (like expanding the galactic empire if Homeworld gem or saving the world if a Crystal Gem). It also shows Steven having the power of age manipulation, of which he is able to control his age. It may not appear a lot after this episode but it still shows him having that ability. That help expand Steven's story a bit by showing him taking a step back at birthdays and seeing that if parties are truly needed and makes another deep episode.

    • Trivia
When Steven finds his picture of his mom there can be seen three toys that represent: Pikachu, a final fantasy character, and Sonic the hedgehog.
    • Goofs
It is previously established that Pearl does not eat food, because she dislikes the sensation of it passing through her. However, when asked by Steven if she likes pie, she replies enthusiastically that she does. This point was actually a massive point of contention between the audience and the Steven Universe crew, with the audience making a massive deal out of this small, irrelevant character error. This all ultimately culminated in one of the writers coming forward and saying that, while she won't eat it, she enjoys the "process" of pie; Pearl enjoys baking the pie, and that's what she meant.
    • Quotes

Steven Universe: Does that mean you'll live forever?

Pearl: No, no. We don't age, but we can still get hurt and die.

[She looks at Amethyst, who is in pain from the rotten burrito]

Pearl: But not from food poisoning.
