The 96th Disney Channel Original Movie. I am watching it quite late, because I'm not a regular follower of the Disney Channel films, but have seen many of them and I had enjoyed. Surely the target audience for this is the kids and mostly the girls. But I liked it as well. The story wise, it is simple like just one day event. A high school girl preparing for the prom night, wakes up in the morning, finds her hair got messed up. Now she has to fix it and the problem is the appointment in the saloon and how to reach there since she has no vehicle or the license.
There's another side of the story. A pretended cop joins her in the quest in return a favour. So it's not just girl stuff, there are some actions. Running, chasing, theft, boyfriend trouble, the films have all the ingredient to enjoy the whole 90 minutes. Good casting and the performances, but I find some comedies are so silly. For a television and aiming for minors, everything looks fair. Just because we're being adult, we expect realism. If you throw away your that mindset while watching it, you would surely have a nice time. My rating might look only a just above average, but that's not how I felt. This is a nice film, like most of the DCOM. So go for it.

Fun, fast, empowering, emotional ...movie for all ages to enjoy. Specifically like how they tackled stereotypes ( prom queen but also tech savvy, male nurses, self image) without losing the comedic side. Laura Marano and Leigh Allen Baker were a fabulous team with amazing comedic timing. My 2 kids, myself, and husband all sat and watched it together and really enjoyed it. Any movie that can keep the family together gets my 2 thumbs up. They've already asked if we can watch it again. Most Disney Channel movies are fluffy and I can barely tolerate....not this one. There were car chases for my son, prom dresses for my daughter, and tons of laughs for the adults. The music was great too. Well done Disney!
Right, well I have to be honest and say that I harbored zero expectations to the 2015 movie "Bad Hair Day" when I sat down to watch it. Sure, I had never heard about it, but it being a family comedy movie from Disney didn't really get my hopes up. Yet, I opted to watch the movie, as I had never heard about it, and thus gave it a fair chance.
And color me impressed and entertained. Writers Matt Eddy, Billy Eddy, Eric M. Gardner and Steven H. Wilson actually put together a script and storyline that catered to both a young adult and adult audience at the same time. I was genuinely surprised with the contents of the script, and how entertaining and enjoyable it actually was.
I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, but I will say that leading actresses Laura Marano and Leigh-Allyn Baker carried the movie quite well. I was especially impressed with Leigh-Allyn Baker's performance as the character Liz, because she made me laugh a lot throughout the course of the movie.
"Bad Hair Day" turned out to be an enjoyable and watchable movie, and not the childish rubbish that I was expecting from Disney. And I will say that the movie is actually well-worth checking out. I was genuinely and wholeheartedly entertained throughout the course of the 87 minutes that the movie ran for.
My rating of director Erik Canuel's 2015 movie "Bad Hair Day" lands on a six out of ten stars.

I thought this movie was actually pretty good. The acting was amazing and I enjoyed the storyline. Not much to say about this but pretty good!
DC had been promoting this movie for a long time. Disney movies are often hit or miss and if you are not an eleven year old girl they often are not enjoyable. However, I thought this movie was very good for TV.
The plot was generally believable. The two main characters were well acted and had a great chemistry. The movie was well written and the plot was more solid than most kid movies. Also the villain was believable as a real criminal. The banter between the kid and cop actually was funny and kept me watching a rather formulaic cop/kid movie.
The movie should have ended about five minutes sooner than it did, but it had less of the sappiness that most DCOMs have. The movie reminded me more of the old, old Disney movies from the 60's and 70's such as That Darn Cat, which I think it is a good thing.
Hence, if nothing better is on I would recommend it for watching one of the five hundred times they play it in the next year.
