    wow

Really enjoyed this series and can't wait for the next one. I haven't read the books they are adapted from so have no comparison regarding the plot. Would like to know more about Frank Randall and if he figures more in future episodes and don't understand the significance of the highlander in the first episode but they are small points to raise. This episode was Soooo brilliant I don't usually watch seriously nasty stuff but found this so well acted that I stayed with it till the end, really glad that I did. It must have been very difficult for the actors but they did an exceptional job.

Makes a change for the men to suffer such vile treatment.

Blown away by the performances of this episode. Scary, brutal and amazing episode.

    Oh my God

They complain about the rape and in got it happened all the time and nobody said anything that hypocrites and with that the episode is bad?

Jamie is very traumatized. Obviously for all that horrible experience that he lived.

    The best episode

Sam should win a special prize for his performance, it felt so realistic.

As far as I'm concerned, this final episode was the best one, it was so deep, intense and altogether heartbreaking, but it's worthy: it leaves you something much more different than the other TV series' trivial end. Sad and dark of course, but still with a sense of warmness for the love which Jamie proves for Claire, protecting her, despite what happens to him. It is nothing excessive or dreadful, utterly bearable because each scene conveys the pain that Jamie is going through. Touching, unique. My best compliments: it couldn't have been any better. Outlander deserves much more fame and attention. Brilliant.

I'm looking forward reading the books.

    • Trivia
The prison scenes were filmed in order, with only Sam Heughan and Tobias Menzies on set. Both cast and crew described the shoot as 'exhausting', emotionally draining, and 'very hard to watch'.
    • Goofs
Over the course of several scenes, Jamie's injured hand goes from severely mangled to merely covered with blood and back again. This is likely the result of the scene using several prosthetic hands as well as Sam Heughan's own hand covered in make-up and fake blood.
