A Stitch in Time

There is a Star Trek novel called "A Stitch in Time" written by Andrew J. Robinson, who played Garak in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.In the novel, Garak says Cardassian experience time differently, they do not differentiate past from present, very much like Kirsten in this show.

When Kirsten is looking at the worn-down number pad, the unlock button is still fresh. If the numbers in the code were worn down, the unlock button would be, too.
