Addictive and oh so frustrating. Always crashes at the worst possible time.

So after years and years of updates and tweaks, the devs at Hello Games still have yet to produce a stable product. Quite simply, this game is too much for anything but the most robust pc systems and possibly the new gen consoles. 100% guaranteed to freeze and crash if you play for longer than an hour. It does not auto save except in certain instances, so if you have not been entering and existing your space craft, or carrying a portable save point with you and using it every ten minutes, you will get screwed out of your hard work every time. You have been warned.

    Good game, but needs updating.

Wow. What a game! A whole universe unlimited boundaries at your fingertips. There is no limit for what you can't do... Or so is there?

No Man's Sky has been hyped for three years, making it nearly impossible to meet the fans increasing expectations. Although it delivered almost everything it promised, No Man's Sky failed to go the extra step beyond what was featured in the trailers.

Even with expectations not fully met, No Man's Sky is still a remarkable and unique game. That feeling of awe when you first load the game and gaze out upon the world that no player has been on before you is a feeling no other game can deliver. Every planet has a unique combination of flora and fauna that leaves players wondering what could be around every corner.

Even with a universe of seemingly infinite exploration, some main components No Man's Sky get repetitive very quickly. Having to fuel numerous portions of your star ship constantly quickly becomes a chore. Most of the animals begin to look the same; when you see one weird orange antelope, you have seen them all. Is it a good game? Most definitely. Even with the repetitive features, No Man's Sky has changed gaming with its innovative world generation, similar to that of sandbox games such as Minecraft. Future updating is going to be necessary to keep fans attention. Should you rush out and spend $60 on No Man's Sky? Probably not. Unless you have been dying to acquire the game for years and can't wait any longer, this is one to best wait for the sales rack. Thanks for reading. Dance on!

    Awfully boring and contentless

Imagine yourself that you are in middle of ocean, but the ocean is 3cm deep only. everywhere you look around is water and water only, and there is nothing to do but just walk or jump, you can't even swim. You occasionally notice there is something new in the water, a different type of shade of ocean bottom maybe, maybe a bit different type of seaweed every 1-2km of walk. At first you might think that there might be something different out there, and its just the spot you were deployed is boring. Maybe there is a deep water with fish, sharks, treasures and submarines ahead.

But as long as you walk you discover that its the same everywhere, same 3cm shallow water, crashing loneliness, boredom and nothing more.

Thats how No Man's Sky feels.

    Great game!

Ok so i played this on release and think i played arround 39/40 houers and found the game pretty bad and so i stopped.

And now 6/7years later i started again because they have been updating the game so often and adding new things that it made me curious if it got any better. And yes it is.

This game is insane now. When i play time just flies and i cant stop playing wich is annoying and amazing. Because i wana sleep but i just wanna quest and explore abit more.. abit = fast two houers gone. And that makes a game good for me. When it makes you forget about time.

This game is a easy 9/10 now.

    A very good game

I never played this game at launch. I recently got into this game and I am really enjoying it. The exploration elements work really well with the story and there is a real sense of progress as I continue to play. As you unlock new technologies within the game, you gain access to further exploration and mysteries that planets have to hide. The only downside Is that each planet seems to be all one biome.
