    Unpredictable Fate

Eichhorst is double-crossed by Palmer and Setrakian wins the auction with a better bid. He ambushes with a horde of vampires the van of Fet and Setrakian on his way back home, but Gus, Angel and Quinlan arrive with the army and Fet and Setrakian flee. The Master kills Coco to retaliate Palmer´s betrayal. Eph, Nora and Zach take the last train to Washington, but they are attacked by Kelly and a horde of vampires. When Nora is ready to destroy Kelly, Zach interferes and something bad happens.

"The Night Train" shows the unpredictable fate of an important character. When will this annoying character Zach die? This spoiled boy is irritating and the ham actor is awful. The Master will certainly have another enemy, Palmer, who saw his beloved girlfriend killed by the powerful vampire. Fet and Setrakian provisionally teaming up with Gus, Angel and Quinlan is promising for the next season. The "animal" processing facility built by Eichhorst is a mystery. My vote is eight.

A brilliant finale held back yet again

Most everything about this episode was brilliant. I thought the character arcs were well handled, and seeing my favorite character Quinlan being a bad-ass again was awesome. The only thing that I couldn't stand, that bothered me the entire season, was how bad an actor Max Charles is. At some points in the season, when he should have been crying, it looked like he was about to laugh or smile. His range is nonexistent; between overacting and underacting scenes, he just can't get it right. Im so very disappointed the producer cut Ben Hyland, who is a much more talented actor, for this nobody who can't act for his life. Nepotism must be to blame. His poor acting in this episode really ruined a lot of scenes, especially one high stakes scene that he completely mishandled. Overall, they need to recast that character, whether or not that means giving it back to Ben Hyland or picking someone new and talented.

    Zach...

    Ok.

I know it sounds bad and wrong and everything that is unholy.

    But..

If Zach was my son, I would seriously consider tossing him under a train or off a bridge.

I know that kids think differently, that's fine. Bur he is outright idiotic. I mean his mother was a math teacher (presumably), his father is a virologist. He is supposed to be t least somewhat intelligent.

But all his actions through the first two seasons. Are either idiotic or plain stupid.

Don't misunderstand me, I appreciate a character when their motivaations move the plot and cause "havoc". But Zach's motivations are rooted in being a moron. No real agenda, simply being an a..hole.

That's not an understandable character, sorry.

During the auction for the Occido Lumen, it was agreed that the book be sold for the total amount of gold the losing party has plus $1. When Eichhorst lost his access to the gold reserves, Creem declared that the book is sold for $323M (the amount of gold in Setrakian's disposal). However, it should have been sold for $1 since Eichhorst has, in effect, $0 to spend.
