One of the best episodes of tv I have ever seen. The level of emotion and intensity was insane. Superb writing and even better acting. I was left stunned and exhausted when it was over.

I've never been in a mass shooting situation, before...i.e., until I watched this episode. Riveting. I had to remind myself that it was a series a few times just to unclench my teeth a bit. Artfully done. Dialog is sparse but you are front and center in the moment during a harrowing ordeal. Beautiful ending. Very well-acted. Kudos to Jared Keeso as Ben Chartier. His last moments in this episode are exquisite. Fine actor.
I watched a lot of crime series like 19-2. Something is different in this one. Maybe a pure reality for people who work in public services in our city and how they encounter with their personal matters and social issues. in this episode, we face with one of the greatest scenes in this genre. 13 minutes unbelievable uncut sequence-plan!!! Amazing roles and directing and movie shooting. You can not move when you watching this episode. In this episode we can be familiar with the characters of the series as well. Their strength and weakness. In many moments, you can feel a great music which playing during touchy moments. Sorry for what happened in the U.S and Canada couple years ago.
First - why have I never heard of this show? No - I don't live in Canada - but I'm sure people in Canada know of / watch shows like Law & Order right?? I can't believe I just found it. I binged the entire 1st season yesterday.
Second - It has a very "ER" vibe to it. Which is a definite compliment. Just crazy stuff going on constantly but they're able to pull back to let the characters be front & center when necessary. The camera work / the way a scene is framed is amazing.
Third - the acting is really excellent. Jared Keeso- I mean OMG.....I have only ever seen him in LETTERKENNEY so I was very pleasantly surprised & impressed by him. He has made me cry too many times.
Lastly - this is one of my top 5 favorite episodes of any show I've ever watched. Truly heartbreaking and anxiety inducing - but i couldn't stop watching.

I barely watch t.v. anymore because the acting is so out of touch with reality. This season opener with the school shooting is both the best drama I have seen in years as well as the closest to the reality of what has been going on over the past two years or so in both Canada and the U.S. The acting is incredibly god and the actors bring you right into the school with your children there and your husband and wife as the 1st responders. Excellent job. If the rest of the season is anywhere near as good as this I won't miss one episode. I work as a speech writer for federal Ministers on First Nations. Wait until I get them watching it. You'll have a whole new audience who need a relief when under constant pressure. Excellent work!
