The Turn Out

I expected the usual unrealistic storylines with fake movie characters. I liked that the actors were everyday people. It reflected life as it is. Authentic & not predictable. Very convincing actors. Broke my heart a little bit. Much enjoyed the music & especially the lyrics.

No name actors and yet a very good look at the sex scene at truck stops. Warning: Tough to watch if you have kids.

I was really moved by The a turn Out, Directed by Pearl Gluck. The Acting was very moving with some hard subjects and real people. The film had a lot of heart, hope and beautiful moments. The Turn Out really captured the day-to-day life of a truck driver, while delving into the nitty-gritty of one man's struggle what his humanity.

"The Turn Out" takes a look at truck stop prostitution and deserves an audience. There's no graphic sex; there are religious overtones, but no real preaching.

The director Pearl Gluck apparently spent months working with sex-trafficking survivors, and the no-name actors give convincing performances.

Just as effective as https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4547938/, a film with bigger names but similar subject matter.

Gritty and rough and real. Makes you realize your life ain't that bad.
