    A Great November

I have to say that I was really losing hope on this show since the beginning of season 4. I was very disappointed throughout the first 5 episodes.

But since "From A to B and Back Again", it's been outstanding. Not only are the last 4 episodes the best in the season, they even make this season the best in the whole series. Something that couldn't have seemed possible without Brody but seriously, well done!

"There's something else going on" is the cherry on top. A 45 minute ride of a thrilling, amazing, clever, tense and nail biting episode.

4 episodes in one great month beginning from the 2nd to the 24th. Indeed this is Homeland's best.

Season 4 Contains Season 2's Addictive, Serialized Storytelling Technique

The second half of this season has an addictive, serialized storytelling technique, the same technique that made season 2 as great as it was. "There's Something Else Going On" sprouts with creativity and specializes in suspense, pressure, and tension. Claire Danes roars in the first half when she confronts and interrogates the man who switched Carrie's medication, causing her to spiral into a horrifying hallucination. The majority of the second half of "There's Something Going On" (or most of what you will remember from this episode) is the terrific prisoner exchange sequence. The gleaming camera work, the tender emotion found between Saul and Carrie, and quiet build-up make the extracting of Saul significant. The ending was exciting, though I knew once Saul was in the hands of the CIA that a twist would be coming, and sure enough, now we have the last bit of story to finish off the greatly improved season four.

The episode of Homeland's fourth season, the show delves deeper into the complex web of political and personal relationships that have been woven throughout the season

In "There's Something Else Going On", the ninth episode of Homeland's fourth season, the show delves deeper into the complex web of political and personal relationships that have been woven throughout the season.

The episode opens with a tense and gripping sequence as Carrie and Quinn attempt to extract a valuable asset from Pakistan. The action is expertly choreographed, and the sense of danger and urgency is palpable. This sets the stage for the rest of the episode, which is marked by a heightened sense of tension and uncertainty.

As Carrie struggles to regain her footing at the CIA, the script skillfully weaves together multiple storylines, each adding depth and complexity to the overall narrative. The relationship between Carrie and her father, Frank, is particularly poignant, as they navigate the challenges of their strained relationship in the wake of the tragedy.

The episode also delves deeper into the political machinations at play, as Saul and Dar Adal engage in a high-stakes game of power and influence. The performances of Mandy Patinkin and F. Murray Abraham are exceptional, and their scenes together crackle with intensity.

The episode's climactic moments, involving a tense confrontation between Carrie and a former colleague, are both thrilling and emotionally charged. The direction and editing heighten the sense of urgency, and the episode's conclusion leaves the audience with a sense of unease and anticipation for what's to come.

    Best of the series...

Best episode of the series so far.

Was curious whats gonna happen next at every second. Loved the character of Saul Berenson. He is the life of this show.

Contained whole of the earlier season in this single episode.
