Let's leave the door open ...

Although this series is full of plot holes, one of the worst things it is to see how anyone enters STAR laboratories without warning, the door seems to always be open, I don't know if they forget to close it or they simply don't have a door ... The same happens with the facilities where Arrow, Felicity and company save their city, everyone is in a meeting and suddenly someone appears ..... a little pathetic, right?

    Team up and fight crime

    👍 What Worked

Flash, Arrow, and Firestorm vs. Reverse-Flash: Let's be honest - the team-up is the headline moment, and it delivers. Watching Oliver (as the Arrow), Firestorm, and Barry team up against Reverse-Flash is pure Arrowverse fan service. The choreography is tight, the stakes feel high, and it's one of the most epic fight scenes in Season 1.

Moral Dilemmas: Barry facing the ethical problem of what to do with the meta-human prisoners in the Pipeline adds depth. The show doesn't shy away from the uneasy implications of illegally detaining people without due process, and it gives Barry and his team some solid dramatic material.

Captain Cold Returns: Wentworth Miller continues to own every scene as Leonard Snart. His manipulation of Barry, his dry wit, and his cool presence (pun fully intended) add texture to the episode. His betrayal isn't surprising, but it's fun to watch unfold.

    👎 What Didn't Work

Too Much Going On: The episode tries to juggle: transferring prisoners, Reverse-Flash threats, Barry's moral compass, team-up hype, and Cold's schemes - all in 40 minutes. The result is a bit rushed and uneven. Some arcs, like the meta-human transport, feel like setup rather than payoff.

Underwhelming Rogues: The prisoner metahumans (Mist, Weather Wizard, Rainbow Raider, etc.) are underused. They're built up, then barely get any screen time or closure. Their escape mostly happens off-screen and feels like a missed opportunity.

Plot Convenience: Barry's decision to trust Cold (again) comes across as naïve, especially so late in the season. It feels like a necessary move to set up Legends of Tomorrow more than a natural story decision.

You Can't Beat The Three of Us

"Rogue Air" is an episode that has been hyped so much by many fans alike since the advertisement for this was just mind blowing. We were promised to have an epic battle between Flash, Firestorm and Arrow against Reverse Flash. This was it, the fans wanted it and have been drooling over it. Yet, here we get another plot line which more or less was good but not why we're here for.

Episode kicks off with a Harrison Wells narration which really set up the mood and got me excited and hopeful for what was about to happen next in the episode. Then the team gets news that the particle accelerator has been activated and Reverse Flash literally runs away from the episode. I was expecting more of Reverse Flash in the episode and I wasn't really expecting Harrison Wells to be gone off screen for almost the whole episode. Since the particle accelerator may endanger the lives of the meta humans in their prison and Barry needs to find a way to get them to safety. By then I was confused as to where the team up would tie into this episode but then it started to make sense -ish like the mention of a couple things in Arrow. As the episode progressed, Barry seeks help from Captain Cold and it (of course) divides the group. It was nice to see the group now struggling to juggle all these things and take desperate measures and it shows how they are sometimes weak and hopeless without the help of Harrison Wells. Captain Cold and his sister were okay I guess, nothing has changed with the menacing style of Cold. The acting remained good if not average, although some scenes wherein Barry overreacts or such were there. Thankfully, we actually got to care about Eddie and Iris after 20 episodes. Knowing that Eddie won't marry Iris and the change and development it brought to him was great. It was also kind of sad to see Eddie in this situation and that was a good thing because we now actually are seeing some good development. Then when we finally reach the end of the Rogue plot line, we're left wondering: "Wait...where's the team up?!?!?" the thing that most of us were here for in the first place. I honestly thought the episode was already going to end and that could've been a bummer, but then the final minutes came..and Arrow and Firestorm come out of nowhere to give us what we wanted. Don't get me wrong, the final minutes was the best action sequence the show has ever had and the visuals remained intact and brilliant even after 21 episodes. The final minutes were intense and brought me to the edge of my seat. Granted, it still kind of felt like it was shoe horned in the episode, especially considering it was put in the last few minutes when most of us thought this was the main course.

Overall, great episode nonetheless. Excited for the season finale. -Reverse Flash literally runs away from the episode, -Confusing advertisement that we were getting an episode focused on 3 vs Reverse Flash, +Acting and Plot were good, +Great development for Eddie and Iris, +The Final Battle, -Kind of felt like it was shoehorned in.

    Verdict: 8.2/10

    • Trivia
First cousins Stephen Amell (Arrow) and Robbie Amell (Firestorm) appear together for the first time on TV.
    • Goofs
When fighting The Reverse Flash, The Arrow shoots him with an injection arrow containing nanites that emit a high frequency pulse to disable the Reverse Flash's speed. The Reverse Flash counters this by vibrating his body at super speed to separate himself from the nanites - but how can he use super speed to remove nanites, the sole function of which is to prevent him from using super speed in the first place? Did they stop working? If so, then why did he bother wasting time separating himself from them in the first place? It could be that they severely inhibited his speed but did not completely disable it, allowing him to perform smaller feats such as this. No explanation leaves it a plot-hole (especially since the second nanite arrow works completely).

Lisa Snart: How come you haven't given me a codename? I heard you came up with Captain Cold. What do you think I should be called?

      Cisco Ramon: Female inmate.

Lisa Snart: Oh, come on. You made my gun. Least you can do is give me a badass alias. Please.

      Cisco Ramon: Fine. Golden Glider.

Lisa Snart: Smart is sexy, Cisco.
