    Time traveller Stuff

"Out of Time" is a high-stakes, emotionally explosive episode that finally pays off multiple season-long arcs - and then flips the table with a game-changing twist. With tragedy, revelation, and time travel all packed into one hour, it's easily one of Season 1's most ambitious episodes.

Time Travel Twist: Let's get right to it - the final scene, where Barry accidentally runs so fast he goes back in time, changes everything. It recontextualizes the entire episode and sets up a fascinating loop that will dominate the next few episodes. The build-up to this moment is fantastic, and the reveal is shocking in the best way.

Mark Mardon (Weather Wizard): Liam McIntyre makes a strong impression as Clyde Mardon's brother, wielding more powerful weather-manipulating abilities. He's a legit threat, leveling an entire precinct and nearly killing Joe. His personal vendetta adds emotional weight, and the action scenes with him are visually impressive.

Iris Finds Out: Iris finally realizing Barry is The Flash (in this timeline) is a massive moment - and their kiss is cathartic after so much tension. It feels earned, not forced. Of course, time travel undoes it (for now), but seeing it play out still hits.

Cisco and the Wells Revelation: Cisco discovering the truth about Dr. Wells is the emotional centerpiece of the episode. Carlos Valdes delivers a powerful performance as Cisco realizes he's been working with the man who murdered Barry's mother. The heartbreaking scene where Wells confesses, calls Cisco "like a son," and kills him is unforgettable - even if the timeline later rewrites it.

The Tone: This episode balances superhero action, emotional drama, sci-fi concepts, and horror-like suspense (especially during the Cisco scenes) all in one tight package. The pacing is superb.

Great episode had everything you need in less than 1 hour

This episode had everything, great characters, action, twists and surprises. The quality of this show is the best on TV. Just fantastic it pulls you in and gives you a great ride. One of my favorite shows is the Arrow which I have watched from the very beginning which had great characters and interplay between all the leads and the makers of the Arrow have used the same brilliant formula to create the Flash. The story in this episode brought together some loose threads and answered some questions previous episodes were building up and the surprises! just watch and find out. I hope there is a second, third.. series. The link to the Arrow with the cross over episodes just make this DS Comic franchise just perfect.

Best episode of the Flash ever

This is the best flash episode ever no contest and it should have the highest rating, it was a 9.7 but somehow went down to a 9.6. We must fix this now!!!

By Far The Best Episode of The Flash

The only regret I have when watching this episode is that I do not have the next one recorded and so I cannot immediately watch the next episode and find out what happens because I just need to freaking know what happens next.

This episode was phenomenal and revealed details to questions that viewers have had since the beginning of the season. In fact, so many major events happened during this one episode that I had to double check to make sure it was not the season finale.

It's a good thing that I have this episode recorded because I will be watching it over and over again. The show will have a hard time topping this episode.

    The Flash's masterpiece episode

This episode is the best of all the Flash episode. I'm giving this review after watching season 7. The plotline is absolutely amazing. The anticlimactic scene with Mark Mardon unleashing the flood was epic. If episodes had the same quality as this now, the flash would be much much better. It doesn't get better than this.

At the end, Joe struggles to talk when Weather Wizard tapes his mouth. Joe, however, could at any time simply have removed this tape with his free hand that he used to hold the binoculars.
    • Quotes

Dr. Harrison Wells: You're incredibly clever, Cisco. I've always said so.

Cisco Ramon: You're him, the Reverse-Flash.

Dr. Harrison Wells: You and I haven't been truly, properly introduced. I am Eobard Thawne.

      Cisco Ramon: Thawne? Like Eddie.

Dr. Harrison Wells: Let's call him a distant relative.

Cisco Ramon: The night that we trapped the Reverse-Flash, you almost died.

      Dr. Harrison Wells: Mm-hm.

Cisco Ramon: There were two of you.

Dr. Harrison Wells: It's an after-image. A speed mirage, if you will.

Cisco Ramon: Joe was right. You were there that night, fifteen years ago, in Barry's house. You killed Nora Allen.

Dr. Harrison Wells: It was never my intention to kill Nora. I was there to kill Barry.

Cisco Ramon: Why? You're his friend. You've been teaching him how to...

Dr. Harrison Wells: ...go faster, I know. A means to an end, and I'll tell you why. Because I have been stuck here, marooned here in this place for fifteen long years, and The Flash, and The Flash's speed, is the key to my returning to my world, to my time, and no one is going to prevent that from happening.

Cisco Ramon: I can help you.

Dr. Harrison Wells: You're smart, Cisco, but you're not that smart. Do you know how hard it has been to keep all of this from you, especially from you? Because the truth is I've grown quite fond of you, and in many ways, you have shown me what it's like to have a son. Forgive me, but to me, you've been dead for centuries.
