Now, I am typically not a big fan of Xmas episodes. They tend to be overly sentimental, and since I did not grow up in a Xtian environment, they really have little meaning for me; I find the mythology, well, unappealing. But I liked this one. The fact that it featured Bruce Campbell, and moved the whole "serpent brotherhood" storyline along really helped.
Matt Frewer is delicious as Dulaque, and Bruce, well, what can one say?
(Note: I just started rewatching these; I'd forgotten how much just plain fun they were. If you can, watch it on Prime Video or Freevee. Electric Now has too many repetitive commercials, and they break in at inappropriate times. I mean, it's a TV shown it's got commercial breaks built in. What's the problem?)

I thought this was a great episode and that it gave us a chance to see different sides of some of the characters. Of course, I adore Christian Kane's character, Jake. He is great with the witty one liners and he can get a point across with nothing but a facial expression! Col. Baird gave a better performance last night than in previous episodes and I really hope that her softer side will show in future episodes. John Kim, aka Ezekiel Jones, was hilarious in this one and his character is beginning to have more depth. I could watch him acting like a little kid all day! It just made me smile and actually got me in the spirit a little more than I was before I watched. I am still waiting for Cassandra to grow on me and hope it will be soon. All in all, I like this show a lot and hope it continues to move forward and develop the characters, especially Jake Stone. I am a huge fan of Christian Kane and could watch him in a documentary about paint drying! The Librarians is a great family show!
Gosh, this show was fun. You don't have to be a regular watcher of "The Librarians" to enjoy it; I am not (nothing against the show, I just don't watch a lot of TV). But the combination of Bruce Campbell and John Larroquette was irresistible and I simply had to see it. It is lighthearted and fun but still has a heartfelt underpinning of "Peace on earth, goodwill towards men."
Includes the tropes of "Skeptic Who Comes to Believe," "Person Who Wants to Believe and Has Their Wish Come True," "Crook Who Does a Heel Face Turn," and Santa Icon Who is Truly Believable (that would be the incredibly awesome Mr. Campbell).
Highly recommended.

Loved this episode of #TheLibrarians!! I would have to say the best 1 hour representation of Christmas...They present Christmas and goodwill in a spectacular way that gives you those "feel good" goosebumps :) They prove that you don't have to be a child to believe and anything is possible ;) This series is family fun on a Sunday night - great way to finish the weekend and start the week. Full of humour, history, education, adventure, imagination and lots of magic! The cast is wonderful and work very well together, their guest stars are fantastic, the stories are well written and produced; everyone has worked hard to bring this together for public enjoyment. My kids and I LOVE it!!! In Canada, every Sunday at 6pm on Space, that's where you'll find us.... ;)

- TriviaThe map used to illustrate Santa and Eve's trip from England to the North Pole/Canada dates from before 1905 as it shows Sweden-Norway as one country, as it was from 1814 to 1905. The map also shows part of North Western Greenland as Canadian, Ireland as part of the UK, and Germany with its pre-WWI borders.
- GoofsEve picked up Santa in England in a stolen truck, but she is driving on the left hand side of the car.
