[Barbara Kean talks to the Basil Gordon look-alike at the GCPD]
Barbara Kean: Question: What the hell is going on down at Arkham?
James Gordon: [Basil smiles] Two questions back at you, gorgeous. Why you asking, and, uh, what's in it for me?
Barbara Kean: I'm asking because a dear friend of mine wants to know the answer, and what would you like to be in it for you?
James Gordon: [Basil continues to smile] Hey, spring is here, baby.

[Barbara Kean exposes the identity of the Basil Gordon look-alike]
Barbara Kean: So, now you like me again?
James Gordon: [Basil smiles] What's not to like?
Barbara Kean: So, you've forgotten about Lee?
James Gordon: Lee?
James Gordon: [Basil hesitates before smiling] Lee Thompkins. Naw, screw that ho. Water under the bridge.
Barbara Kean: You're not Jim.
James Gordon: Say what now?
Barbara Kean: You're not Jim!
James Gordon: Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on there, woman.
[Barbara punches Basil in the face]

[the Basil Gordon look-alike returns back to the GCPD and speaks with Harvey Bullock]
Harvey Bullock: You feeling all right? You look like a sack of fish.
James Gordon: A little flu, maybe.
Harvey Bullock: Oh. Well, then keep your distance. I'm getting laid this weekend, fingers crossed.
[Basil gives a big smile]

[Hugo Strange tells Jim Gordon to love while under the truth serum]
James Gordon: What you said about Lee. I should have gone after her?
Hugo Strange: Oh, no doubt. Guilt has compelled you to sacrifice your heart to your conscience. But guilt is useless. Love, Jim. Love is our guide.

[Jim Gordon tries to apologize to Bruce Wayne while still under the truth serum]
James Gordon: [Gordon grabs Bruce's hand] Bruce... I never should have made that oath to you.
Bruce Wayne: That's not really...
James Gordon: I was arrogant and naïve... and I'm sorry. I've tried to do the right thing, but... what a fool I've been.
Lucius Fox: Uh... what kind of drugs did they give you?

[Jim Gordon and Lucius Fox make their way to Arkham's basement to defuse the bomb]
James Gordon: Are you any good at defusing bombs?
Lucius Fox: I don't know yet. You?
James Gordon: Meh.

[Jim Gordon and Lucius Fox guess how to deactivate the bomb]
James Gordon: [Gordon holds the control switch] How about we just, uh, pull all this stuff off. See what happens.
Lucius Fox: There's no cutoff program, maybe, maybe there's no tamper-proofing program.
James Gordon: Yeah.
Lucius Fox: Yeah.

[Jim Gordon tells Harvey Bullock that he's the boss of Gotham now]
James Gordon: And Harvey.
Harvey Bullock: Yeah?
James Gordon: You're the boss now. Maybe get a haircut?
Harvey Bullock: [as Gordon gets in the car and drives off] That's my car. That's - That's my car! Hey! Jim!

Hugo Strange: We have to go! We have to leave now!
James Gordon: Tell me how to get that bomb and shut it off or I'll batter you to death right here!
Hugo Strange: In which case, young man, I suppose I will just have to die.

James Gordon: I have to go. I might not see you for a while, but I'll try to stay in touch.
Bruce Wayne: Where are you going?
James Gordon: I have to find Lee.
Alfred Pennyworth: Right move, mate.
James Gordon: [to Bruce] Do me a favor. Say good-bye to Bullock for me. I don't really want the whole Celtic farewell. He's gonna have his hands full, but I think he can handle it.
Bruce Wayne: Will do.
Selina Kyle: [standing near by] Chocolates. Girls like chocolates.
James Gordon: I'll keep that in mind.
Alfred Pennyworth: Well, there's a man who's got his priorities straight. The love of a good woman and all that. Well, I hope you learned your lesson, Master Bruce.
